Gao geng'en (1841-1917), a native of Beitang (now Tanggu District of Tianjin), was born in Xiting. In 1876, Bingzi was a Jinshi of Enke, who was changed into a scholar of the Imperial Academy. In 1876, he was appointed as an editor. Later, he was appointed as the assistant of the National Museum of history. He was appointed to study politics in Sichuan Province. They often use calligraphy and painting to help poor villagers. After returning to his hometown in his old age, he moved to Lutai Town, Ninghe, where he lived in a thatched cottage and coarse food. When he was a student of politics in Sichuan, he was a student of Hunan. Later, some of them became important military generals in the Republic of China. When they passed by Lutai, they had to see their teachers and give gifts. Gao Geng en refused all of them. He was willing to be indifferent and entertained himself with poems and books.
