Shiqu County
Shiqu County belongs to Ganzi Prefecture of Sichuan Province. It is located at the junction of Sichuan, Qinghai and Tibet provinces on the southeast edge of Qinghai Tibet Plateau. It is one of the most remote and inconvenient counties in Sichuan Province.
Shiqu starts from the southern foot of Bayan Har mountain in the north, reaches the mora mountain section of the Shaluli mountains in the south, borders Yushu prefecture in Qinghai in the northwest, faces Jiangda County across the river in Tibet in the southwest, and borders Seda county and dege County in the southeast. It is 696km away from Kangding and 1070km away from Chengdu, with an average sea level of 4520m.

On September 25, 2018, it won the honorary title of "2018 e-commerce into rural comprehensive demonstration county" of the Ministry of Commerce. On February 18, 2020, after the study of Sichuan Provincial People's government, Shiqu County was approved to withdraw from the poverty-stricken county.
Historical evolution
Shiqu, named "zhaxikawa" in Tibetan, means the source of Yalong River, which was attached to the country in Sui Dynasty.
Tang belongs to Tubo. Yuan belongs to the Department of Xuanwei of duogansi.
The Ming Dynasty was under the command of duoganwei.
In the early Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of mengge chieftain and later dege Xuanwei. In 1909, Shiqu County was established.
In the early years of the Republic of China, it belonged to Sichuan special administrative region. In 1932, it was attached to the Xikang Special Administrative Region. In 1939, it was the fourth administrative supervision district of Xikang province.
In 1950, it belonged to Xikang Tibetan Autonomous Region. In October 1955, it belongs to Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province. October 1955 belongs to Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province. In 1978, Dengke county was abolished and luoxu district was assigned to Shiqu County. In 1990, the county had jurisdiction over 4 districts, 22 townships and 1 town.

Rare animals include antelope, wild yak, Red Crowned Crane, deer, argali, wild horse, roe, fox, otter, marmot, etc. Rich in agricultural products "Dengke wolfberry", wild plants "ginseng fruit" everywhere.
In Shiqu County, there are 9 species of first-class national protected animals such as white lipped deer, snow leopard, Tibetan antelope and black necked Crane, and 34 species of second-class national protected animals. Since 2011, there are only two provincial-level white lipped deer reserves in the county.
