the Wheel of the Law
Falun is called "Kelu" in Tibetan. The Falun is round in shape and used to be a weapon of ancient India. In Buddhism, it represents the Dharma. The Sutra says: "the wheel has two meanings, one is to change the meaning, the other is to destroy the meaning, and the other is to use the four truths to deal with him, such as Wang Lunbao. Falun also Er, bad worry and resentment, live in truth It means that the Dharma is like the wheel of the wheel king, which rotates endlessly.
This is the meaning of "Falun Changzhuan" in Buddhism. The eight spokes on the Falun symbolize the eight major events of Sakyamuni Buddha's life. Falun, like crushing mountains and rocks, can destroy all the troubles of living beings.
application
In the center of the roof of the main hall of many Tibetan Buddhist temples, there is a bronze gilded Falun, with deer on the left and right, stretching neck to listen to scriptures. This is the first time that Sakyamuni Buddha said it in Luyeyuan. After becoming a Buddha, Sakyamuni told the five bhikkhs who followed him, such as Chen Ru, the bridge, the truth of his self realization: "Eight Principles", "four holy truths", etc., which made them suddenly enlightened and full of joy. Since then, the three treasures of Buddha, Dharma and monk have been abundant. In the history of Buddhism, it is called "the first Dharma wheel", that is, the first Dharma preached by Sakyamuni Buddha, marking the establishment of Buddhism. Luyeyuan, as the first place to turn to Falun, has become one of the four sacred places of Buddhism.
In front of the Buddha statues in Yonghe palace, there are two Falun inlaid with silver beads.
