Lin Ji (1021-1091), a native of Baiquan village, jinxili, Changping Township, Youxi County (now xiabaiquan village, Xinyang town). Song Qingli six years (1046) ascended Jinshi, awarded along the state magistrate, Youxi County is the first recorded Jinshi. Lin Ji is an official, fair and honest, not greedy for money. Emperor Shenzong of Ming Dynasty praised him for his honesty and ability.

Anecdotes and allusions
When Lin Ji was young, he went to Beijing for the exam and stayed at an inn in caizhou (now Runan, Henan Province). In the guest room, Lin Ji found a cloth bag with hundreds of large pearls. In order to be safe, Lin Ji put the pearls in the box. The next day, Lin Ji asked the shopkeeper who had lived in this room yesterday. The shopkeeper said it was a big business. Lin Ji told the shopkeeper, "this man is my old friend. If he comes back to look for him, you can ask him to go to Shangyang guandaozhai in the capital and ask Lin Ji. must! must! Don't let things go wrong! " Even so, Lin Ji was still worried. He was afraid that the owner of the shop would forget, so he pasted a hand list along the road: "some year, some month, some day, there is an itch in the Jianpu Linji fake hall, and there is an old friend Yuanzhu, who can visit Tongtong Zhai." Soon, the merchant found that he had lost the Pearl. He rushed to the inn. After hearing the message from the owner, he immediately went to the capital to find Lin Ji. After Lin Ji verified the situation, he returned all the pearls. The merchant was very grateful and took out half of the pearls to reward Lin Ji. Lin Ji said: "there is no such saying! If I want you half the time, I don't need to paste a hand list along the road and ask you to look for it. " He insisted on returning all the jewels.
Life of the characters
Lin Ji entered his official career with his excellent quality, which was not influenced by fame and wealth. When he was a magistrate of the state, he was responsible for hearing a "pirate case". In order to make good achievements, the superior asked Lin Ji to punish the case severely, and promised to recommend Lin Ji for promotion. Lin Ji was not moved by fame and wealth, and insisted on enforcing the law impartially. After repeated interrogations and multiple confirmations, he found that this was an unjust case and released 58 defendants. As an official, Lin Ji is not only strict with law and justice, but also very concerned about people's livelihood and local economic development. When he was the magistrate of Liuhe County in Anhui Province, Liuhe County was a very poor place with nine disasters in ten years, either drought or flood. Under the advocacy of Linji, 36 ponds were dug in the county for water storage and irrigation, which not only prevented flood and drought, but also promoted the development of local agricultural production. Before long, Lin Ji was promoted to Guangnan East West Road. Guangnan is rich in silver and copper, and the mining of silver and copper is an important tax source for the country. Lin Ji personally went deep into the mine, carefully planned the development of silver and copper, guided the improvement of smelting technology and increased production; and actively dredged the transportation and marketing, which increased the profits of the mine. The government not only increased taxes, but also increased the income of the people. At the same time, Lin Ji also strengthened the management of the city ship port, mediated the foreign relations, attracted foreign businessmen, and promoted the prosperity of local trade.
Historical records
During the reign of Xining, Lin Ji worked in Sizhou, Anhui Province. At that time, Wang Anshi, a reformist, was the prime minister. Wang Anshi attached great importance to Lin Ji and reported his achievements in Sizhou to the imperial court. Emperor Shenzong of the Song Dynasty sent a special decree to publicize Linji's presence in Beijing and praised him for his "honesty and ability". During the Yuanyou period, Lin Ji served as the transport envoy of Henan Province. Henan is one of the main suppliers of living materials in Kyoto. Henan's water transport alone transports about 4 million stones to Kyoto every year. After taking up the post of Henan transshipment envoy, Lin Ji paid great attention to cleaning up the water transport, urged the Changping department and the shipping department under his jurisdiction, and did a good job in price management and transportation scheduling. in June of the sixth year of Yuanyou (1091) of song zhezong, Lin Ji became ill from overwork and died in Henan.
