Chang Tang is called Zhong. Haiyan people in Southern Song Dynasty lived in seclusion in Shupu. Around the court planted dozens of bamboo poles, because of the "bamboo window" since the number.
Shaoding three years (1230), Shupu town Yin Luo Shu Shao Yan compiled town records. Chang Tang lived in Shupu town for many years. He had paid attention to the local anecdotes for a long time, and his wish of compiling local chronicles was fulfilled. He thinks that "the county has Jiahe annals, the city has Wuyuan annals, and it's a little bit about SHUSHUI (i.e. Shupu town)". He feels it's necessary to write and revise town annals, so he readily agrees. As for the compilation of local records, he advocated extensive compilation of materials and "detailed revision", and "discussion, hearing and seeing" with people of insight before "Compiling" and "showing the palm of a town". Chang Tang independently searched and recorded the manuscripts and compiled eight volumes of Shu Shui Zhi. It is not only the earliest existing local records in Haiyan County, but also the earliest existing local records in China, which has a great impact on the development of local records in China. There are fifteen books, the first of which is a town map. They are classified and recorded in a proper way. They have always been called excellent local chronicles. "Summary of the general catalogue of the four complete books" praises the book for its "concise narration and proper compendium". The book of eight volumes has four pages. Han Bangjing wrote Chaoyi county annals in the Ming Dynasty, which said that there was no end to the contract. The world thought that it was a special contract. Today's view is a compilation, but we know that it originated from this. It can be said that the style is precise and strict, and the people who don't express it rashly are right. "
