Yang Enshou
Yang Enshou (1835-1891) was born in Changsha, Hunan Province. He was named Tanyuan, Penghai, Penghai and Jiefu. In the late Qing Dynasty, he was a famous poet, painting theorist, dramatist and drama theorist.

In the late Qing Dynasty, he was a famous poet, painting theorist, dramatist and drama theorist. He began to take the children's examination at the age of 17. He was a middle-aged scholar at the age of 21, and he received excellent tribute at the age of 25. 37 years old. He once served as an envoy of salt transportation in Hubei Province, and served as an alternate magistrate of Hubei Province. He had close contacts with famous scholars in Hunan, such as Guo Songtao, Wang Xianqian, Wang Kaiyun, Zeng Guoquan and Li Yuandu. Yang Enshou wrote a lot of works in his life, including 14 works such as Tan yuan series. His representative works CI Yu Conghua and Xu CI Yu Conghua were included in the collection of Chinese classical opera works. In addition, there are still ten unpublished volumes of Tan yuan diaries, which reflect the life and mental state of Changsha scholars in the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty, and are of great social and cultural value for the study of Hunan local social life at that time.

He is the author of 14 volumes of Yan Fu pian. It includes the inscriptions and postscripts of Gufen Pavilion and Yang's theory of calligraphy and painting. Wang Xianqian also wrote six kinds of work songs, such as juanfeng, guizhixiang, matanyi, lailairenren, Taohuayuan, lilingpo and so on. There are six volumes of CI Yu Conghua, one volume of Qu Lu and one volume of Tan yuan CI Yu. There are three volumes of works on traditional Chinese opera, i.e. CI Yu Cong Hua and Xu CI Yu Cong Hua. Yuanlu focuses on the melody and rhyme of traditional Chinese opera; Yuanyuan mostly selects excellent songs and essays, with comments of writers attached; Yuanshi is about the ability and performance of traditional Chinese opera. The main idea of Yang Enshou's drama is to lay stress on the content of "setting up a religion in the world", lay particular stress on the use of poetry to regulate music, and ignore the stage performance. The historical materials of opera after the middle of Qing Dynasty are of certain reference value. Yang Enshou also wrote Tan yuan diaries, an important work in literature and history. This book consists of four parts, namely Chen you diaries, Beiliu diaries, Changsha diaries and Yan you diaries, covering all aspects of social life at that time.
Tomb of Yang Enshou
Yang Enshou's tomb is located on the back hill of Shimapu, Yuhua District, Changsha City, Hunan Province. It was built in 1891, covering an area of 10 square meters. The tomb is of granite structure, which is composed of tombstone, tomb enclosure, tombstone and front terrace. The main stele is inscribed with "the tomb of poet Yang Tanyuan", and the left and right steles are respectively engraved with the epitaph and a poem left by the descendants. Changsha City has listed cemeteries as immovable cultural relics.
