Du Yuanying

Du Yuanying (775-838), whose name is unknown, was born in Jingzhao duling (now Chang'an District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province). During the Tang Dynasty, the Prime Minister of Dali was the son of Du Zuo, the sixth grandson of Du Yan.

In the 16th year of Zhenyuan (800 years), he was a Jinshi Ji, and entered the shogunate of Jiedushi. He was awarded Dr. Zuo Shiyi and Dr. Taichang. Yuan he 12 years (817), moved to the right buque, Hanlin bachelor. He drafted an imperial edict to pacify Wu Yuanji, and moved his officer wailang and Zhizhi to make a patent. When Emperor Mu Zong ascended the throne, he moved to the middle of the Tang Dynasty to be a scholar. He was granted the title of Jianan County man by honoring the Minister of the household department and Zhang Shi of Tongping. The improper decision-making in dealing with the affairs of the vassal towns (general manager Liu of Youzhou and Li Yuan of bianzhou) led to the imperial court losing control of Hebei Province and taking the post of governor of Xichuan, Jiannan and Zhangshi of Tongping. Emperor Jingzong of Tang Dynasty ascended the throne and exploited the common people to please the emperor. In the period of Tang Wenzong, the abuse of soldiers and poor administration led to the invasion of Nanzhao. Du Yuanying lost his power and land, demoted Sima of Xunzhou, and made friends with Prime Minister Li Deyu.

In the third year of Kaicheng (838), he died in Xunzhou. He was sixty-four years old at that time. He was awarded to the governor of Huzhou. During the Huichang period of emperor Wuzong of Tang Dynasty, the official rank was restored.

Fatuous and incompetent

Li Zhanjiao, Emperor Jingzong of the Tang Dynasty, was proud and eccentric. Du Yuanying always wanted to cater to the emperor's wishes to consolidate her position of favor. In addition, the supply of military pay was not timely, and the soldiers guarding the border were hungry and cold, so they relied on the barbarians to collect property for their needs. As a result, everyone complained. Instead, they became the assistants of the barbarians to investigate the mainland, and the defense of the border was lax. In the third year of Dahe (829), Nanzhao Chengxu attacked Rong, Qu and other prefectures. As soon as they heard that the bandits were coming, they fled. The soldiers guarding the border served as guides, so they invaded Chengdu. Has been approaching the city, Du Yuanying did not know, led the left and right men and horses according to the tooth city defense. The thieves plundered the outer city, burned it and destroyed it. After staying for a few days, they finally left. All the treasures, craftsmen and beautiful women in Shu were robbed. At first, Du Yuanying had nothing to do. She was ready to run away. When the reinforcements arrived, she stopped.

Demoted official dies

Li Ang, Emperor Wenzong of the Tang Dynasty, sent envoys to appease Nanzhao. Nanzhao wrote: "the Shu people asked me to kill the tyrannical commander, but they failed to achieve their goal. They asked his majesty to kill him, so as to apologize to the Shu people." Therefore, Du Yuanying was demoted as the governor of Shaozhou. The people who discussed politics were dissatisfied and denounced as the governor of shunzhou. The subordinate officials, such as Tsui Huang, he Ganmao and Lu Bing, were all demoted one by one. In the third year of Kaicheng (838), Du Yuanying died at the demotion Institute, aged 64. When he was dying, he begged to return to his hometown for burial. An imperial edict was issued to present Huzhou governor. Du Yuanying had a good relationship with Li Deyu. In the early years of Huichang, Li Deyu was appointed prime minister, so he issued an imperial edict to restore his official rank. His younger brother, Du Yuanjiang, is finally the crown prince.
