Li Zhounan (1754-1824) was born in Shaobo, Jiangdu (now Ganquan, Jiangsu Province), with the name of Jingzhai and Shenqing. Jiaqing Jiaxu Jinshi, head of the Ministry of official punishment. There is a collection of poems by Xi tongxuan.
Li Zhounan is a wise young man who is good at poetry and writing. When he was studying in Yangzhou anding academy, his ode to Guangling of Xie Anshi's moving town won the praise of the head of the mountain and was used as a model essay to enlighten later disciples. In the imperial examination, he was not very smooth, until the 19th year of the Qing Dynasty (1814) when he was 61 years old, he won the 26th prize in the top two. Later, although he was in charge of the Ministry of official and criminal justice, he continued his teaching and writing career as soon as he was appointed. Li Zhounan's works include eight volumes of Xi tongxuan anthology and six volumes of Xi tongxuan poetry anthology. Those who wrote the preface to his anthology were all famous university scholars in Yangzhou at that time: Ruan Yuan was the first one in the volume, followed by Liu Baonan, Bian Shiyun and Liu Wenqi. Li Zhounan adheres to the style of practical learning in Yangzhou Academy. Some of his articles are widely involved in social problems and have strong documentary quality. For example, his "records of covered bones" provides some special materials for modern people to study social history. His poems are very plain, such as the title of "the painting of increasing sacrifice in Pingshan mountain" written by the prefect of Pingshan hall Yi Moqing: "through the ages, the two writers are loyal, and the fishing and ocean are connected. Who can still have it? There is Yi Gong in the Kuang Dynasty. "It's very straightforward to compare the four prefects of Yangzhou articles he worships. In addition, Li Zhounan was a scholar with a wide range of interests and had contacts with Yangzhou opera circles. In Yangzhou, Qianjia school had a close relationship with Quxue in the middle of Qing Dynasty, and some scholars were also involved in Qushi, which promoted the interaction between academic research and opera creation. Among them, Huang Wenli, JIAO Xun, and Li Dou are all talents with academic insight and artistic talent. In 1819, Li Zhounan wrote two legends of Kunqu Opera, Jingli Ji and jukong Ji.
