Jimeixue village is across the sea from Xiamen Island. After getting off the Xiamen bridge from Xiamen City, it enters Jimeixue village. It's not only a beautiful place, but also a scenic spot.
It was founded by the famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader, Mr. Tan Kah Kee, in 1913. It is well-known at home and abroad. Its architecture combines Chinese and Western styles, reflecting the typical architectural style of the hometown of overseas Chinese in Southern Fujian. The representative Nanxun building is the tallest building in Fujian Province for a long time.
Jimei learning Village
Jimei school village is the general name of all kinds of schools and cultural institutions in Jimei. It is located in Xiamen Jimei Peninsula and Jimei village. It was founded by the famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader, Mr. Tan Kah Kee, in 1913 and enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad. With a total construction area of more than 3000 mu, the village has more than 100000 teachers and students, forming a talent training system from preschool education to primary school, junior high school and senior high school, from undergraduate education to master's and doctoral education. The former Jimei learning village includes: Xiamen Fisheries College, Jimei navigation college, Jimei Teachers College, Fujian Institute of physical education, Jimei finance and Economics College (now all merged into Jimei University), Jimei overseas Chinese students Tutorial school (School of Chinese of Huaqiao University), Chinese language and culture school, Jimei Middle School, Jimei primary school, Jimei kindergarten and other schools, as well as Funan assembly Hall, library, gymnasium, concert hall, Dragon Boat pool, navigation club and other facilities. It is not only a beautiful place, but also a tourist scenic spot. Its architecture combines Chinese and Western styles, reflecting the architectural style of the typical hometown of overseas Chinese in Southern Fujian. The dragon boat race is held in the Dragon Boat pool of Xuecun during the holidays. Jimei learning village has become a hot spot in Xiamen tourism, with the sound of drums and music, the sound of Nanyin and the sound of people.
In September 2016, Jimei school village was selected into the "first batch of Chinese 20th century architectural heritage" list.

In 1894, tizhai school was founded.
In 1913, Jimei primary school was established.

In 1937, the Anti Japanese war began to stop enrollment.
In 1938, all students stopped after graduation. In 1941, Fujian private Jimei vocational school (business) was transformed into private Jimei senior business vocational school. The private Jimei senior business vocational school was renamed Fujian private Jimei senior business school.
In 1947, Fujian Provincial senior fisheries vocational school moved from Putian to Hanjiang. In the 38th year of the Republic of China, the school moved to Chongwu, Huian County, Quanzhou.
In August 1951, the provincial senior fisheries vocational school was merged into the private Jimei senior fisheries navigation school. See Fujian navigation College for details. In 1952, the private Jimei senior aquatic navigation vocational school was renamed Tongan private Jimei aquatic navigation school in Fujian Province.
In 1952, Fujian private Jimei senior business school was renamed Jimei finance school.
In 1954, Fujian Provincial Department of communications cadre training class was established.
In 1955, Tongan private Jimei aquatic navigation school was renamed as Xiamen private Jimei aquatic navigation school. In 1957, the cadre training class of Fujian Communications Department was renamed Fujian Communications cadre school.
In 1958, private Jimei aquatic navigation school (navigation part) in Xiamen City, Fujian Province was established as a branch of private Jimei navigation school in Xiamen city.
In 1958, Xiamen textile industry school was founded.
In 1959, Jimei School of Finance and economics, Xiamen textile industry school and Quanzhou food industry school merged to form Fujian Jimei light industry school.
In 1958, Jimei normal school resumed and moved to Gulangyu Island, renamed Xiamen normal school.
In 1958, Xiamen Teachers College, Jimei navigation school, Jimei business school.
In March 1958, Chen Jiageng proposed that Jimei aquatic navigation school should be divided into two schools, namely "private Jimei aquatic school" and "private Jimei navigation school".

In 1960, Xiamen private Jimei navigation school (automobile and highway major) was abolished and merged into Fujian Communications College. In 1961, Xiamen private Jimei navigation school was renamed Fujian Jimei navigation school. In 1961, Fujian Institute of physical education rebuilt Fujian physical education school.
In 1962, Fujian traffic technical secondary school was abolished and merged into Fujian Jimei navigation school.
In 1962, Fujian Jimei Institute of light industry was transformed into Fujian Jimei School of light industry.
In 1963, it was abolished and incorporated into Fujian Second Normal University (Zhangzhou).

In 1973, Xiamen University (navigation major, former Jimei navigation school) established Fujian Jimei navigation school.
