China Jurassic Park Tourist Area (silicified wood National Geopark) is located 4 km southeast of Mingxing Town, Shehong County, Suining City, Sichuan Province, 4 km away from Longsheng entrance and exit of Daying section of Chengnan expressway, 15 km away from China's dead sea, with a planning area of 12 square kilometers.

The core area of geological relics in China Jurassic Park covers an area of about 3 square kilometers, including 512 silicified and lignified rocks, which are rare in Southwest China. At the Boao summit of World Tourism elites solemnly held at the Boao Forum for Asia in Hainan, Shehong China Jurassic Park was awarded the title of international trump tourist attraction. In 2005, Longfeng gorge was approved to establish provincial and national geoparks, national popular science education base and AAAA scenic spot. On December 18, 2009, the opening ceremony of the monument was held in China Jurassic Park. The 8th International Jurassic Congress in 2010 was solemnly held here. Longfeng gorge, with its unique geological landforms, large amount of paleontological fossils, green and dense natural vegetation and long history of cultural landscape, is in the process of building a first-class National Geopark in Asia. The protection plan of the national key fossil concentrated producing area of China Jurassic Park in Shehong County has been approved by the Ministry of natural resources of the people's Republic of China. The evaluation meeting was organized by the national paleontological and fossil Expert Committee. The experts of the evaluation group were Li Jijiang, deputy director of the office of the national paleontological and fossil expert committee, Wang Lixia, deputy director and researcher of the office of the national paleontological and fossil expert committee, and Wang Yongdong, researcher of Nanjing Institute of Geology and paleontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The review experts and their party inspected the geological section of silicified wood National Geopark and Penglai town formation of Quhe shale brick factory in Shehong County, listened to the work report of Shehong County, and strictly reviewed the protection plan of the national key fossil concentrated production area of China Jurassic Park in Shehong county according to the relevant standards. The forest coverage rate reached 42%. Longdong River passes through the park from northwest to Southeast, with a water surface width of 50-100 meters. It is an ideal waterfront leisure resort. In terms of cultural landscape, there are qingshizhai site of Ming Dynasty and tombs of Han Dynasty. There are primitive tribal sites tartar cave, there are four temples since the Qin Dynasty. The whole scenic spot is a modern scenic spot integrating tourism, leisure, scientific research, popular science education, culture and entertainment.
