Laohushi marine park is the only beach in Beidaihe that charges fees. It is also the beach with the most tourists. Every July and August, the beach here will be full of people. It is close to Baoer Road, Beidaihe Tourist Commercial Street, the most bustling place in Beidaihe. There are many shops selling things around, many small and medium-sized hotels, and many seafood restaurants (it is not recommended to eat here). Swimsuits can be seen everywhere, so you don't have to be too formal.
Laohushi is on the beach to the east of Zhonghu beach, which is composed of several reefs with different shapes. The reef is dark red, lying scattered on the coast, like a group of tigers, so it is named. On the golden beach of laohushi marine park, in addition to sunbathing and sand bathing, you can bathe your body in the bright sunshine and gentle sea breeze. You can also use wet sand to complete sand sculptures full of dreams, or play beach volleyball.
Laohushi Marine Park
Laohushi marine park is located in the center of Beidaihe scenic area, covering an area of 33000 square meters. Here, the boulder extends into the sea, like a group of tigers, so it is called laohushi. Laohushi bathing beach is the central bathing beach of Beidaihe Beach. The beach here is wide and the sea is wide, the slope into the sea is gentle, and the water quality is good. Therefore, it has become the bathing beach with the largest number of people in summer. There is also a large-scale entertainment park, with sea parasols, windsurfing, surfboards, children's paradise, etc., which is a large comprehensive marine park in China.
Landscape features
The reefs in different shapes in the park look like tigers. Some of them are scattered on the crystal sand beach, some of them are perched in the dense forest, some of them take a shower on the seashore hit by huge waves, and some of them sleep soundly in the sun. Every time the tide rises, fight against the sea waves and roll up thousands of snow waves. When the wind is calm and the waves are bright, the gulls fly. Clear blue sky, sea and sky.
Standing on the stone, you can listen to the breath of the sea, watch the sails of fishing boats, hang the pole and fish. Looking back to the north, you can see the towering peaks, the colorful buildings in the shade, and the scenery of the mountains and the sea. Bihai, Jinsha and Jieshi attract tourists from home and abroad.
There are countless tourists, poets and painters who play in water, take a bath in the sea and take a sunbath. People enjoy themselves in the embrace of nature and in the symphony of laughter and waves. Tiger stone, such as a pearl inlaid on the coast of the Bohai Sea, twinkles with attractive brilliance. Tiger stone West, with a small wharf specially approved by Comrade Zhu De in 1957, can park small yachts and pleasure boats. It is an ideal place for sightseeing and fishing. There is a "wanggui Pavilion" in the west of the small pier. It is small and exquisite, and quite interesting.
Rock legend
There is also a beautiful legend about these tiger like rocks. When Qin Shihuang visited Jieshi in the East, he ruled the country. Later, he went to the Bohai Sea to have fun and seek the elixir of immortality. So he came to the Bohai Sea where there was a magic fairy mountain. One day, while he was walking, he suddenly met a big mountain blocking his way. The angry Qin Shihuang took out a whip to drive the mountain and whipped three lashes at the mountain. At once, the peak was pulled up to make way for the gravel to empty Then he flew to the northeast. The furious Qin Shihuang urged his horse to chase after the flying stone until he reached the sea. Suddenly, the huge stone disappeared, but he saw groups of gorgeous tigers playing on the sea. Some of them even jumped at him with their teeth and claws open. Qin Shihuang was so frightened that he quickly turned his head and ran away. After frightening away the first emperor of Thailand, the tigers became stones of various postures. Since then, the tigers have turned into reefs of different shapes for people to enjoy. This is the tiger stone we see today. This beach is also called Tiger rock beach.
