Longgou mountain

Longgou mountain, also known as yuxu mountain, is located in Longquan Township, northwest of Huili County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China. On a sunny autumn afternoon after a rainy day, you can occasionally see the legendary Buddha light: facing the cliff, there will be a circle of light on the distant cloud sea, and the figure in the center is faint, as if there is a treasure statue sitting upright, which is comparable to the Buddha light illusion of sacrifice rock in Emei Mountain.

Entrance archway

There are two pairs of couplets on both sides of the archway. The first couplet was written by Mr. Yang Yanzong. The couplet said: "you will be able to see the world through the mountains, and you should be able to rebuild your mind, and you will have a natural mind." The first word of the couplet is embedded with the word "Huili", which is ingenious in conception. The second couplet was written by Mr. Yu Kaizhi, which said: "the mountains are spread by dragons, and the clouds are close at hand; people are drunk by flowers, and the blue waves all around talk about life.".

Yuling flower sea

The most attractive natural landscape of longgou mountain is the "Yuling flower sea" known as the ten thousand mu Rhododendron forest. Every year in April and may, after the rhododendrons bloom for the second time, tourists come in droves, and longgou mountain has entered the golden season of tourism. Along the way, the trees and shrubs with new leaves are luxuriant. Below 2000 meters above sea level, rhododendrons can be seen everywhere. With the extension of the highway and the increase of altitude, rhododendrons enter the mountainous hinterland surrounded by clouds.

Looking around, there are more and more kinds of rhododendrons, and their growth is more and more prosperous. Rhododendron from sparse to dense, from low to tall, forest into pieces, almost no gap to pass. When you look at flowers on a sunny day, they are as colorful as rosy clouds; when you look at flowers in the rain, they are misty, indistinct and magnificent, which makes the viewer feel relaxed and happy and forget to return. Rhododendrons of such scale are rare at an altitude of more than 3000 meters. It is not surprising that there are rhododendrons in the mountains, but it is rare that the original ecology of longgou mountain is maintained.

First, it has a wide area and dense forest. The area of Rhododendron longkuang forest is more than 11000 mu, so it is called "ten thousand mu Rhododendron", and the largest one is 3000-4000 mu. The second is the density, tree appearance and surface. The Rhododendron forest grows densely with few gaps between the plants, and all the branches develop to high places to capture the sunlight, forming a deep and mysterious landscape with extremely high crown, crisscross branches and dense space. Thirdly, there are many kinds of plants, which are distributed vertically. There are more than 50 kinds of rhododendrons, including the elegant yellow brocade Rhododendron, the charming King Rhododendron, the elegant and holy green dot Rhododendron, the long core Rhododendron, the round leaf Rhododendron and the beauty Rhododendron. The small diameter of Rhododendron is only about 1 cm, and the large one can reach 15 cm.

Microwave station

614 microwave stations are located on the top of longgou mountain, covering an area of 11000 square meters, with a construction area of nearly 800 square meters. The microwave tower is 52 meters high, standing on a mountain peak of more than 3580 meters, piercing the sky. This is exactly: the giant tower is at the top of the cloud, and the microwave breaks the fog to thousands of homes.

The station was completed in September 1992 and formally incorporated into the southwest microwave trunk line operation management of Sichuan Provincial Radio and Television Department in March 1993. It is responsible for TV transmission and news return in Panxi area.

Longgou mountain is densely forested, especially characterized by "ten thousand mu of Rhododendron sea". You can get off at Yimen town on the 108 National Road from Xichang to huilijian. It is about 180 km away from Xichang. There are also cars from Huili city to Longjiao mountain. If you start from Chengdu, you can get off at Yonglang town on Chengdu Kunming line, and then transfer to Yimen to enter the scenic spot. To longgou mountain, you can choose to get off at Baiguowan and get off from Shuanghe village. The third day of the third lunar month is the day to climb longgou mountain.

Longgou mountain is a natural barrier in the north of Huili Bazi, with steep slopes in the west, many cliffs, adjacent to Miyi County; the northeast slope is gentle, many valleys, and roads leading to the top of the mountain, which is the main way to visit longgou mountain.

In addition to driving along the 614tai highway to longgou mountain, tourists who like outdoor sports can choose to climb on foot to get close to the beautiful scenery along the way. Take a bus from the county seat to dawanying village, Waibei township. After getting off at Dading bridge, you can go up along the Bailong River, which originates from longgou mountain, and enter the Walnut Valley with lush trees and beautiful scenery. Then you can climb along the mountains and enjoy the deep ancient trees, dense azalea, camellia, wild grass and Fargesia. You can reach the top of the mountain in about four hours.
