Qimingtang
Qiming hall is located in the west of Lianchi Lake in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It sits from west to East. Its original name is Mingde hall, also known as Southeast dijue hall. It is the most magnificent temple beside Lianchi lake. With its magnificent appearance and carved beams and painted buildings, it is extremely skillful.
It is a palace style building with magnificent and Oriental color. Guan Yu of Shu Han was first worshipped in the hall, and the gold sculpture was solemn. Zhang Le, a native of the city, set up a memorial ceremony on his birthday, which was unprecedented. Later, it was mainly dedicated to Confucius and Guan Gong, the two saints of literature and martial arts, together with Yue Wumu, the national hero, and Zheng Chenggong, the prince of Kaitai Yanping.
Later, local people built two Chinese palace style pavilions on the Bank of Lianchi pond opposite to Qiming hall, each of which is connected by a Jiuqu Yulan bridge, with Banyue pond in the middle. The two pavilions are collectively referred to as "Chunqiu imperial Pavilion", that is, Chunqiu Pavilion. Later, in the middle of the spring and autumn two Pavilion curved bridge, a new antique long bridge was built, extending to the middle of the pool. At the end of the bridge, a three-story Pavilion, Wuliting, stood. The pool surface is lively and charming against the background of the three colorful pavilions. In the pool in front of the hall, the spring and autumn pavilions are graceful. The pavilions were newly built in 1951. They are resplendent in painting, carving and water. Facing the lotus pond, the water is clear and the fish can be counted. Every visitor has the feeling of breaking away from the world. Half moon pool (release pool) in front of the hall is a holy statue of Guanyin riding a dragon. It is solemn and kind. There are thousands of turtles in the pool. It is a wonder and a bell of auspicious aura.
700 meters south of Qiming hall, the dragon and tiger pagoda on the left and the Tzu Chi Palace on the right. The dragon and tiger pagoda is named after the giant dragon and tiger sculptures in front of the pagoda. It is quite interesting for tourists to enter from Longkou and leave from hukou.
