Daishan Island

Also known as Penglai Fairy Island, the scattered islands are like lotus flowers scattered in the East China Sea. Sea water, beach, reef, seafood and fishing fire are the characteristics of Daishan. The island also has the neolithic ruins of Dashun temple, as well as the footprints of "fishing, hunting and cooking the sea" left by the ancestors on the island as early as 4000 years ago. Daishan is like an overseas fairy mountain. It is always filled with a slight smell of fishy and salty. There is always a sea smell in the air. Under the sun, walking on the soft beach, watching the waves rolling, lying in the seaside hot spring, listening to the sound of the sea. At night, Daishan is lively and attractive. The seafood stalls are lined up in front of the sea, waiting for customers to come. They are full of fresh and tender sea fish and prawns, which are carefully selected by the boss from the seaside wharf. Daishan scenic spot is divided into eight scenic spots, namely, the island's Moxing mountain scenic spot, lulanqingsha scenic spot, YANWO stalagmite scenic spot, Dongsha ancient town scenic spot, Shuanghe Shibi scenic spot, and the outer island's Lanxiu mountain scenic spot, wujingtan scenic spot, and Guanyin Mountain scenic spot.

Daishan Island

Daishan island is located in the north of Zhoushan Island and outside the mouth of Hangzhou Bay. It is the residence of the people's Government of Daishan County and the government of four towns (Gaoting, Dongsha, Daidong and Daixi). The county seat is located in Gaoting town in the southeast of the island. It is 30 kilometers away from Zhoushan Municipal Government in the South and 74 kilometers away from Ningbo in the southwest. The land area is 104.97 square kilometers, and the highest point of moxin mountain is 257.1 meters above sea level. The coastline is 96.31 km long.

In 1991, approved by the people's Government of Zhejiang Province, it was officially listed as a provincial scenic spot.

Daishan has a long history. According to the cultural relics unearthed on the island, five thousand years ago, in the Neolithic age, there were many people living on the island. There are also written records of more than 2000 years of history.

Daishan island is east-west, wide in the East and narrow in the West. Before the Ming Dynasty, today's Daishan island was divided into dongdaishan and xidaishan islands, separated by a PU (i.e. waterway) and connected to the sea at both ends. From Nanpu (today's daizhongnanpu) to Beipu (today's dongshazhen Qiaotou to the lock palace gate of Minshan Temple), ships could be connected. From the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, there was a bridge at the bridgehead of Dongsha town between Dongdai mountain and Xidai mountain. From 1948 to 1949, the airport was built in the area from Nanpu to chaqianshan, and the two islands were connected. Shuangheshan, at the western end of the island, was originally a xuanhai island. It was connected with Daishan island after the construction of qiujiamen dam in 1980. YANWO mountain, at the northern end of the island, was also an isolated island. After the completion of the laomen dam in 1974, it was connected with Daishan island.

Daishan island is surrounded by islands, with dense waterways and navigation gates, tortuous coastline, and many excellent ports and anchorages along the coast. Gaoting port, the main port of Daishan in the south of the island, is the main fishing port, commercial port and external transportation hub of Daishan County. Dongsha port on the North Bank of the island is a commercial port, fishing port and haven in Daishan County.

Daishan Island, known as "Penglai" on the sea, has "ten sceneries of Penglai". According to legend, in the Qin Dynasty, Xu Fu led 3000 boys and girls to seek immortality medicine for the first emperor, and once came to this island. Rich in tourism resources, the island is a provincial scenic spot. Scenic spots mainly include moxin mountain, houshayang beach, YANWO mountain, Shuanghe mountain, Penglai Park, etc. Moxin mountain, also known as Moxing mountain, is located in the southeast of Daishan island. It covers an area of about 6 square kilometers. The highest point is 257.1 meters above sea level. It faces the sea in the South and is surrounded by mountains. The hills are beautiful and straight. The mountains are covered with verdant pines and cypresses. The four seasons are lush with green tea. The environment is quiet and elegant. In winter, there is a "white peak snow" landscape of "ten sceneries of Penglai". The scenic spots and historic sites include Chaoguo temple built in the second year of Tianfu (937) of the Late Jin Dynasty, Chongfu temple built in the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty (1628-1643) and Ciyun nunnery built in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1796). There are pavilions, platforms, buildings, pavilions and "Penglai villa" in the dense forest on the hillside, which can give a bird's-eye view of the natural scenery of the island. Ciyun nunnery is composed of Daxiong hall, jade Buddha Hall, "Huazang world" and Penglai garden. "Huazang world" is the first in China. It is a unique tourism landscape in Daishan. It is designed by Professor Chen Congzhou, an expert in ancient architecture. It is made of large mirror glass. By using the principle of mirror refraction, it makes a Amitabha Buddha in the room reflect each other and add luster. It is like seeing thousands of Buddhas in all directions. Houshayang beach, close to daiquyang in the East and Lulan mountain in the north, is one of the ten sceneries in Penglai. With a total length of 3.6 km and a width of 300 m, the beach is soft and comfortable with fine sand quality. It is the longest beach in Zhejiang coastal area. The beach surface is flat, and it is known as "Wanbu Tieban sand". On the beach, there is a "clear sand ocean paradise", with tea room, bathing beach, light dance hall and skating rink, high-speed yacht, life jacket and other safety facilities. It is an ideal place for summer tourists to visit and vacation. The "swallow's nest stalagmites" in the scenic spot of YANWO mountain are a group of jagged rocks about 300 meters long and 100 meters wide, which are similar to bamboo shoots in the mountain. They are 4-5 meters long and 1-2 meters short. They are not only bamboo shoots in shape, but also similar in color. With the beating and roaring of the waves, they form a natural wonder on the sea. There are Shuanghe cave wall scenic spots in Shuanghe mountain, that is, the "stone wall remnant photo" of "Penglai ten sceneries". This is the stone scenery left by stonework mining for hundreds of years, with a total of 50 spots, distributed in the hills, hillsides, foot of the mountain, etc. They are of different sizes and shapes, and are called Shibi, Shidong, Shigong and Shitan according to their shapes. The water in the cave is quiet, and if the setting sun projects, the stone wall is more spectacular. It is a unique scenic spot on the island. Penglai Park, built on the west slope of Mopan Mountain (commonly known as Yihuo temple Gangdun), is a good place for people to exercise and walk. In addition, there is "group of dolphins worship the river", which is a view of Zhuyu port on the east side of Daishan island. Every summer and autumn, black and white groups of dolphins can be seen sinking and floating, floating and dancing in the sea, and sometimes jumping out of the sea, which is rare in China.

Development history

Daishan island has a long history of development. According to the unearthed cultural relics of "Houdun site of Dashun Temple" and "beichendou site" on the island, 5000 years ago in the Neolithic age, human beings worked, multiplied and lived here. During the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, Daishan Island belonged to Yongdong, the eastern border of the state. Qin, Han and Sui belong to the eastern part of the county. After the 26th year of Kaiyuan (738), Daishan island has always been Penglai township of wengshan County, Changguo county (prefecture) and Dinghai county. In 1910, Daishan town was built on Daishan island. In 1927 ad, Daishan district was set up. In 1949, it was the residence of the government of Longzhou County, and the county governed Gaoting town. In May 1950, it was liberated and restored to the residence of Daishan District, Dinghai county. In June 1953, he was the resident of Daishan County People's government.

At present, there are 75 administrative villages on the island, with 47228 households and 115568 residents in 2000.

Main attractions

Lulanqingsha

Lulan Qingsha is a beach in Daishan. It is named after the foot of Lulan mountain in the north of Daishan island. It has a total length of 3.6 kilometers and is the longest beach along the coast of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. It is only a few hundred meters away that the water reaches the chest. When the tide rises, the waves are very big and the echoes are loud. When the tide ebbs, the tide tends to be peaceful. Because of the tide, we can see all kinds of marine life on the beach. Xu Futing

The antique double-layer quadrangle Pavilion is decorated with stone railings. Inside the pavilion, there is a stele with two dragons in it, which is carved from bluestone. The inscription records the relationship between Xu Fu's quest for immortality and the ancient name of Penglai. Standing on the pavilion, you can see the sea from afar and overlook the whole beach. Located in the fine sand of Lulan, it is a small and medium-sized island with three beaches and one side entering the sea. From a distance, it looks like a huge mud snail crawling into the sea, so it gets its name. On the top of the mountain, there is the former site of Xing Ma Shilan. In 1998, the TV series "Legend of Xu Fu's eastward crossing" was shot, in which the scenes of Emperor Qinshihuang's offering sacrifices to the sea to send Xu Fu, the expedition of the eastward crossing fleet, and the eastward crossing camp were all shot there. Standing on the beach, watching the sunrise in the East China Sea through "Jiguan reef", a round of red sun breaking out of the sea is colorful.

Dongsha ancient town

Dongsha town in Daishan is an old fishing town. The ancient town is built on this sea. To the east of the sea, it is called Dongsha. It is very different from the land towns in Jiangsu and Zhejiang. There is no small bridge and running water in the center of the town. It is a solid alley, street and backyard. In front of the ancient town is the sea, and in the back is the mountain. It is full of vicissitudes on the water side, open in the sea breeze, implicit in the sea fog, more sea momentum, more mountain charm, more unique island.

Chongfu Temple

The temple was built in Chongzhen period of Ming Dynasty, so it is called Chongfu temple. After two overhauls during the reign of Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, there are two plaques in the temple, one for Chongfu temple in the reign of Emperor Qianlong and one for Chongfu temple in the reign of Emperor Guangxu. This pure Qing Dynasty ancient building is still well preserved. Although it is small in scale, it has a strict layout. Today, the front hall and the main hall are connected by wing rooms on both sides, forming a quadrangle; there is a stage in the middle, a screen wall in front of the hall, a platform door in the East and West, and another courtyard, with a total construction area of nearly 1000 square meters.
