Meiyuan Park was built and opened on September 26, 1987. It is the only community level supporting Park in the second unit of Meiyuan community. At present, the per capita public green space in this area is only 3.5 square meters, far lower than the average level of 22.37 square meters in Pudong New Area.
In order to make the "plum garden" worthy of its name, the park is designed with plum blossom, Chimonanthus praecox and other characteristic tree species, planting different series of plum blossoms, such as Longyou plum, Chuizhi plum, Zhizhi plum, etc., and matching them with landscape stone, modeling Luohan pine, bamboo, etc., forming the landscape artistic conception of "three friends of the cold year" in traditional Chinese gardens. At the same time, in the road pavement, stool sketch, wall scenery window, the plum blossom shape is also fully applied to create an atmosphere of "Jiangdu full of cars and horses, striving to go to the south of the city without cover, to know the endless collection of plum blossoms, and everyone goes home with fragrance".
