Design features
Shimen Bridge on Jialing River is a single tower cable-stayed bridge. The main girder is consolidated with the tower and pier; the cross section is a three chamber trapezoidal box girder with inclined outer web, each pair of stay cables are anchored on two middle web plates, the force transmission of side box is in the form of tie rods, and the prestressed concrete stay rods are set every certain distance, and the prestressed steel tendons in the tie rods are anchored on the top steel beam of bridge deck. The bridge deck is made into broken line shape according to the drainage cross slope. Two beams are set at the consolidation of beam, tower and pier. The box girder adopts trapezoidal section under the tower column and connects with the strength section of pier top. The box girder and tower column are made of 400 concrete. The tower column is set on the central divider of the bridge deck, which is a single column hollow structure with equal cross-section. The cable pipes staggered in front and back are reserved on the tower column for the cable to pass through the anchorage. The anchorage end is set with serrated tensioning groove, and the detection platform is set on both sides. The cables are arranged with a symmetrical harp, and the two cable planes are arranged on the central divider. Each inner and outer cable is composed of a plurality of high-strength galvanized steel wires, and the parallel steel wires are arranged in an unequal octagonal shape.
