Mengshan tea history museum was officially established in 1986. It is the earliest professional museum of tea and tea culture in China. Mengshan Tea History Museum combines indoor display with outdoor tea culture sites and relics. At present, the external exhibition mainly focuses on the introduction of tea history, tea sets, tea customs and tea culture. While doing a good job in the indoor exhibition, it actively carries out various publicity activities with tea as the media, receives Chinese and foreign friends, experts and scholars to visit the museum, organizes external exhibition and carries out tea culture and chemistry research. In September 1992, Sichuan provincial government went to Hiroshima, Japan to hold the Sichuan scenery exhibition. The important content of the tea culture exhibition, which was undertaken by the museum, was unprecedented and welcomed by Japanese friends from all walks of life. It promoted the cultural exchange between China and Japan.

The long history of tea has formed a unique Mengshan tea culture. The scenic spot has beautiful natural landscape, long history and tea culture left a lot of desirable historical sites to Mengshan, mainly as follows: 1. Tiangai temple is located on the top of Mengshan, which was founded in Han Dynasty and rebuilt in Song Dynasty. Covering an area of 8000 square meters, the temple is far away from the mountains. It is surrounded by more than 10 thousand year old ginkgo trees. In the middle of the temple is the stone pillar hall built in the Ming Dynasty. It is the tea planting place of Wu Lizhen Jielu, the founder of Mongolian tea. There is a statue of Master Wu Lizhen in the main hall, and there are pictures and objects showing the history of Mengding tea. This is the best place to taste Mengding tea. In front of the temple and behind the temple, there is a forest of ancient square steles, with more titles, especially the "Tianxia Dameng mountain" stele. 2. Huangcha garden is located among the five small hills of the main peak of Mengding. Because the surrounding mountains look like lotus flowers, Huangcha garden is falling on the lotus heart to form a "geomantic treasure land", where Ganlu Master Wu Lizhen of Han Dynasty planted "Lingming seed" Seven Dwarfs. Since the Tang Dynasty, tribute tea has been picked here. In 1186, song Xiaozong officially named it "Huangcha garden". 3. The mannose stone room is located in the mannose peak on the left side of Huangcha garden. It is a single room stone structure building with double slope top in Ming Dynasty. Stone pillars, stone hall, stone arch, stone roof, light leakage, not rain leakage, architectural style is very unique. 4. Mengquan well is located next to Huangcha garden, also known as "Ganlu well", with two steles of "gumengquan" on its side. The stone column is engraved with two dragons playing with pearls. Where to draw water when planting tea for master Ganlu. According to the county annals, "if there is water in the well, the rain will not be abundant and the drought will not dry up, and the mouth will be covered with stones.". Tea made from this well water has a strange fragrance. 5. Yongxing temple is located on the hillside to the west of Mengding, with an altitude of 1000 meters. It has a construction area of 5000 square meters. There are stone carvings at the gate of the mountain, with a pair of kylin reliefs. Daxiong hall is a double eaves suspended mountain style, with three stone buildings, 12 meters wide. The columns, beams, walls and buildings are all stone structures, with dignified momentum. There are more than ten stone inscriptions, such as Huang Yunhu's poem stele, Jiaoyu, couplets and so on. There are seven heart camellia, red and white magnolia and other rare flowers and trees in the temple. One of them is red Rhododendron, which was planted in the Ming Dynasty in late spring and early summer. 6. Panlong Pavilion is located in the east of Mengshan ridge. The wooden hexagonal pavilion has a 36.7-meter-long Stone Carving Dragon inside. It was made in the Ming Dynasty with exquisite carving and vivid shape. There are 218 different shapes of "dragon" in the pavilion. 7. TIANTI ancient road is located in the hillside from Yuwang palace to tiangai temple. There are 1430 stone steps, which rise along the slope, just like a cloud ladder, so it is called "TIANTI". 8. The tea history museum is located at the starting point of TIANTI ancient road. Zhang Aiping wrote the title of the museum. There are documents, poems, specimens and tea sets about Mengding tea in the library. The stele recording mengcha is the evidence of history. All kinds of famous tea objects and tea sets of different shapes in the past dynasties are shining. It is an elegant enjoyment to roam in the Museum of tea history and cultivate tea culture.

The museum is located on the top of Mengshan mountain, Chengxi Township, Mingshan County, Sichuan Province. It is under the Cultural Bureau of Mingshan County. Mengshan is one of the birthplaces of Chinese tea industry and tea culture. Mengding tea is known as "immortal tea", and Mengshan is known as "hometown of immortal tea". The popularity of Mengding tea has made it the object of chanting by the literati in the past dynasties. In China, the famous couplet of praising tea is the popular saying "water in the middle of Yangtze River, tea on the top of Mengshan Mountain". The poem Qin tea by Bai Juyi, a great poet of Tang Dynasty, has a chant that "only other waters can be heard in Qin, and the old tea is Mengshan". Meng Jiao, Wei chuhou, Ouyang Xiu, Lu You and Mei Yaochen, the great masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties, all left many poems and essays on the topic of Mengshan tea. The poems and inscriptions in Ming and Qing Dynasties are more abundant, and contemporary poets and literary artists have left many beautiful verses reciting Mengshan tea.
