Jindao Gorge

Jindao gorge is located in Jindao gorge Town, Beibei District, Chongqing, south of Huaying Mountain, with an altitude of 880 meters. It is 90km away from the center of Chongqing and 62km away from Beibei city. Jindao gorge is a national 4A scenic spot. The main scenic spots are zangdao cave, Zhongxia natural bath, Shitou gorge, Maitreya Buddha, etc. The scenic spot has the characteristics of dangerous gorge, majestic mountain, beautiful water, many waterfalls and blue pool. Zhang kunzheng was intoxicated with this scene. He saw a thing in the deep of the gorge shining golden under the moonlight. Zhang Kun took a closer look. It turned out to be a golden knife inserted into the rock of the gorge wall. So he came forward to draw his sword. He didn't want to move. The golden sword embedded in the stone was gently drawn out. Zhang Kun's great joy: God's golden sword will be my responsibility! With this knife, Zhang Kun finally got out of the gorge.

At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, when the world was in chaos, Zhang Kun joined a mountain bandit organization, which specialized in robbing families and houses, killing people and stealing goods. Zhang Kun was deeply dissatisfied with this. Mountain King Zhu Wu was greedy for Zhang Kun '. Zhang Kun led the mountain bandits to clean up their minds, rob the rich and help the poor, and became a powerful leader in Huaying Mountain.

At that time, Ming Yuzhen was building the Xia Dynasty in Chongqing to fight against the Yuan Dynasty. Ming Yuzhen, the king of Xia Dynasty, admired Zhang Kun's bravery for a long time, so he was given the title of Duwei to recruit Zhang Kun who was not ambitious. Zhang Kun had both wisdom and courage. He made great achievements in the war. He soon became the number one general in the battle of the king of Xia, and was given the nickname "Zhang Jindao" by the king of Xia. At that time, at the beginning of Xia Dynasty, Yuan general anachitun was heavily stationed in Fuzhou, and was covetous of Chongqing. One day, Zhang Kun rode up a high slope to observe the enemy's situation. He saw that all the horses in the enemy camp were on their saddles, and they were about to launch an attack of the horse team. The Mongolian cavalry had been away like wind, suddenly like hills, scattered like autumn rain, and was famous all over the world. Seeing this critical situation, Zhang Kun immediately organized three hundred warriors. He saw the yuan army's cavalry roaring, and three hundred warriors suddenly rushed out. The neat horse formation was in chaos immediately. Seeing the situation, Zhang Kun urged the troops to take the opportunity to cover up and kill, and won a complete victory. He captured anaci, the leader of the enemy, and took advantage of the situation to capture Fujiang. This battle stabilized the territory of Xia state at one stroke. Zhang Kun made outstanding contributions. Ming Yuzhen took the meaning of "an de Meng Shi defends all directions" and named him "an de Meng Shi general". Since then, the prestige of General Zhang Jindao has been well-known in China. In memory of General Zhang, people in Zhang Kun's hometown called Zhang Kun Debao gorge Jindao gorge.

Therefore, the waterfall changes significantly with the rainy and dry seasons, so people also call it double-sided waterfall. There is a natural access road across the wall of the cliff. Shitou Gorge

Less than 200 meters away from Shenying gorge is Shitou gorge, the second best scenic spot in the upper part of Jindao gorge. Here, the gorge rocks suddenly stand, forming a deep and narrow stream.
