Baita Lake

Baita Lake scenic area, a national 2A tourist area, is named after the White Pagoda of Sui Dynasty. It is located in Daoming town of Chongzhou City, the famous "hometown of bamboo weaving in China". It is a newly developed tourist scenic area in the early 1980s by using Luogou Xiangyang reservoir.

There are three lakes surrounded by mountains in the scenic area. On the top of the mountain beside the lake, there is a white tower, which is majestic and straight, like a pillar, reflecting the lake. The scenery of the lake and the mountain here is full of poetic charm, so it is called "white tower Lake". Baita lake is a beautiful place for Buddhism. On the mountain of Baita lake to the east of the lake, there are the relic pagoda (Baita) built in Sui Dynasty and the Baita temple. In the old days, there were 78 temples and houses in the White Pagoda Temple. They were large-scale, with towering ancient trees and flourishing incense.
