Architectural features
Academician he Jingtang designed the scheme. The museum has complete functions, including Museum, cultural center, library and book purchasing center. The plane of the building group is in "L" shape, and the enclosed space becomes an open square for citizens' activities, reflecting the humanized design of public opening, coordinating with the central axis square, and greatly reducing the interference and influence of the existing buildings around.
Collection
The first floor of Wenchuan museum is a photo exhibition about Wenchuan earthquake. The second floor is the history and culture of the Qiang nationality. The remains of painted pottery unearthed from the jiangweicheng site and the Neolithic ear jar unearthed from the sarcophagus show the resonance and collision between this unyielding nation and Chinese history. On the third floor are the achievements of Wenchuan aided by Guangdong.
Feng Jicai, vice chairman of the China Federation of literary and art circles, who witnessed the 1976 Tangshan earthquake, told reporters that he was writing a proposal to the National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, calling for the preparation for the establishment of the Wenchuan earthquake museum to express his grief for the victims and provide a wake-up call for future generations. "At present, the most important effort should be put on saving lives. But as a cultural person, we should think forward and benefit from it in the future. You (Morning Post reporter) are the third media to interview me. Now I want to talk about the idea of building a museum, hoping to attract the attention of relevant departments through appeal and media communication. In the current work, we should pay attention to this problem when we clean up the ruins, keep relevant information, and make plans in the reconstruction. " He said that if the proposal is passed, the relevant departments will start to build such a museum, "I will do my best and contribute all my strength unconditionally.".
It has historical, academic and spiritual value
Feng Jicai said that the establishment of the Wenchuan Earthquake Museum has important value in many aspects. First, historical value. "I always believe that history is not only looking at the past from the present, but also looking at today from tomorrow. From this historical perspective, we have the responsibility to record the earthquake disaster as a historical event, witness its destructive power, witness our actions to face the disaster, and witness the spiritual realm of this generation. " He also pointed out that the establishment of the museum has academic value. "This is an important material for geological and geomorphological research, as well as water sources and many other aspects, which can be said to have multi-disciplinary research value." And the spiritual value is also the significance of the establishment of the museum emphasized by Feng Jicai, "for the Chinese nation, this is an infinite wealth! We can see that the earthquake relief fully embodies the humanistic feelings of people-oriented and caring for life, and radiates the spirit of the Chinese nation of sharing weal and woe and blood thicker than water. For the whole nation, this is a kind of sublimation. "
At the same time, Feng Jicai also provided evidence for his appeal to establish a museum of the Wenchuan earthquake, saying that many natural and man-made disasters in history have built museums. "After the atomic bomb explosion, there are Hiroshima Museum, World War II Auschwitz Museum, and Nanjing Massacre Museum. In terms of natural disasters, with the disappearance of Pompeii, the museum has done a great job. "
It is divided into three parts: site, Monument and Museum
Feng Jicai believes that for the future Wenchuan Earthquake Museum, there are three most important parts. The first is "several representative earthquake sites", which retain the original ecological site destroyed by the earthquake. "The Tangshan earthquake has well preserved two ruins, one of which is a three-story building, and the second floor comes out, which is very valuable for research.". The second is "Wenchuan earthquake relief monument" or "Wenchuan people's Memorial". The third is the "Wenchuan Earthquake Museum", which collects the contents related to the earthquake and disaster relief, "such as a large number of students' schoolbags, which are the most touching things; there are also used helicopters, parachutes, and a large number of videos.".
Cultural circles support the construction of the Museum
It is understood that many people in the cultural circles strongly agree with Feng Jicai's idea of "building a museum of Wenchuan earthquake". Tao Dongfeng, a professor in the Chinese Department of Capital Normal University, said that a "Wenchuan Earthquake Memorial Hall" should be established. He believed that the current "war" situation would pass. Chinese people should take this opportunity to establish China's disaster reflection system and the memorial system for the dead. "After every major natural disaster and social and historical disaster, a corresponding memorial hall should be established for people to enter We should reflect on history, mourn the dead, encourage the living, comfort the predecessors and warn the future generations. " On the Internet, the "proposal on rescuing the original cultural materials for earthquake relief as soon as possible, planning the Wenchuan Earthquake Memorial Hall, the Earthquake Memorial Hall in Western China and the cultural Memorial Great Wall" written by Rensi Lang and the "after three minutes of silence, we call on the state to prepare for the construction of the Wenchuan Earthquake Memorial Hall" on the blog China website all received the support of many netizens .
