Wukesong Indoor Stadium

This is not only the basketball stadium of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, but also a comprehensive and high standard competition and performance venue. High level basketball games and concerts of famous artists are often held here.

Wukesong Indoor Stadium

Wukesong Gymnasium is located beside Wukesong bridge along Chang'an Street in Beijing, with a construction area of 63000 square meters and a capacity of 18000 people. After the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, it has become a landmark venue for cultural and sports activities.

On April 30, 2020, the renovation project of Wukesong Gymnasium will be officially launched, and it will be built into the ice hockey venue of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

Historical evolution

The construction of Wukesong Gymnasium started on March 29, 2005 and was completed in August 2007.

In 2008, Wukesong stadium was designated as one of the eight sports industry gathering places by Beijing government.

On November 5, 2017, Wukesong stadium was named "Cadillac center".

In 2016, Wukesong Gymnasium became the home court of professional basketball and professional ice hockey. After the renovation of the ice making and dehumidification system, the transformation of the two competition modes of ice hockey and basketball has been completed within six hours, and several back-to-back ice basketball competitions have been successfully held.

On April 30, 2020, the renovation project of Wukesong Gymnasium will be officially launched, and it will be built into the ice hockey venue of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

Main structure system of Gymnasium

Below the second floor, the cast-in-place reinforced concrete frame shear wall structure is adopted, and the frame shear wall structure system is composed of the wall and frame beam column of elevator hall and pipe shaft.
