Emeishan museum is located on the Bank of Phoenix Lake in Baoguo Temple Phoenix scenic area, with elegant environment. The museum is composed of six halls: film and television hall, geology hall, biology hall, history and culture hall, Buddhist art hall and ancient calligraphy and painting hall.
Among them, the film and television hall makes full use of high-tech means to sketch the ups and downs of Mt. Emei in 800 million years; the geological hall displays the ancient and magical evolution history of the geological landform of Mt. Emei; the biological hall mainly has six ecological landscape boxes to visually display the wonders of the biological world of Mt. Development history
Built in 1984, Emeishan museum is a comprehensive museum integrating geology, animals and plants, history, religion and folk customs, which fully displays the rich connotation of Emeishan culture and natural heritage.
The museum was opened to the public in 2001. The exhibition consists of geological hall, animal hall, plant hall, ancient Shu Emei cultural hall, Taoist cultural hall, Buddhist cultural hall, calligraphy and painting hall, and the cultural corridor of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism.
Since the opening of the new museum in 2001, it has won 16 awards, including the first prize of the fifth "top ten National Museum exhibition quality award", "Sichuan provincial key Museum" and "national popular science education base".

More than 4000 geological specimens, animal and plant specimens and cultural relics, 50 living specimens, 24 copies of cultural relics, 10 large sand tables and models, 14 bronze statues, 2 groups of super realistic figure sculpture scenes, 16 giant spray paintings, 20 charts, 306 display boards, and more than 300 mu of Emeishan rare botanical garden is also built outside the exhibition hall.
