Introduction to ancient pagoda
There are four main scenic spots in the park, namely: West Gate area, Central Lake area, Shanhua Park and ancient pagoda area. The Central Lake area is the main scenic area, named qicaichun garden. It has huawangtai, Haitang square, pavilion Gallery combination, Pingquan Dieshui and other landscapes, which organically combines the ecological environment characteristics of the ancient pagoda countryside with the landscape characteristics of the urban park, and has complete environmental protection public service facilities. More than 200 varieties of trees, shrubs and flowers are planted in the garden, with about 220000 plants. Among them, there is a stone flower bed in front of the Grand West gate, a high lookout platform beside the gate, and a large free parking lot on the north side of the gate. The Central Lake area is the main scenic spot of the park, which includes the colorful spring garden, huawangtai, Haitang square, pavilion Gallery combination and Pingquan Dieshui. In addition to the ten Buddha pagoda, the Central Lake area is the essence of the park. Walking in it, is really relaxed, calm, can forget all the troubles. The mountain garden is in full bloom, the stone path extends in the undulating green space and trees, and the pagoda can be seen in the distance. Generally, all the landscapes in country parks are newly built. Only the ancient pagoda in Chaoyang District country park has an ancient pagoda over 400 years old. If you think about it, there are hundreds of parks in Beijing, but this is the only one named after the ancient pagoda. Walk into the park along the east gate. In the park, the trees are luxuriant, the environment is quiet, the wind is blowing, and the bridges are shuttling Take a deep breath, feel the whole lung is like a green plant cleaning again, really relaxed and happy. On the roadside lawn, three or two tents have become scenic spots. Most tourists bring their own food to play cards and play on the lakeside lawn. Some tourists also bring pets to play together. The person in charge of the scenic spot told reporters that pets are allowed to enter the scenic spot, but pet owners must deal with their feces to avoid damaging the park environment. Named after the ancient pagoda, there is a real ancient pagoda in the park, which was built in 1538 in the Ming Dynasty. It's not easy to find this tower. It's hidden at the southernmost end of the park. The tower is not high and is blocked by dense forest. If you don't follow the signs, it's really difficult to find it. The reporter found that visitors to the ancient pagoda country park will walk in front of the pagoda. Although the pagoda has been tilted and the inscriptions are blurred, it is probably the biggest feature here to watch a 400 year old pagoda in this brand-new country park.
Design features
Taking the Millennium Liao tower as the central commanding point and the daguangji temple as the borrowed scenery, the park adheres to the characteristics of combining the historical context of Jinzhou ancient city with the concept of modern landscape, making it a leisure place rich in the regional culture and customs of western Liaoning.
The garden is mainly based on botanical garden, supplemented by architectural garden. The terrain is high and low, and the environment is winding and secluded. Taking Guangji temple, the oldest and largest religious classical buildings in China, which was built in 1063 A.D., the ninth year of Qingning in Liao Dynasty, and Tianhou palace, the largest religious and cultural site in Liaoning Province, which was built in 1725 A.D., as examples, the garden opens up ethnic, religious and cultural sites for visitors to display Jinzhou calendar.
Main attractions
The park is divided into six main functional areas. Among them:
(1) Cultural relic tourist area. Taking Guangji temple, the oldest and largest in China, which was built in 1063, the ninth year of Qingning in Liao Dynasty, and Tianhou palace, the largest in Liaoning Province, which was built in 1725, the third year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty, as examples, this area opens up a place for tourists to display Jinzhou calendar.
(2) Elderly activity area. The tea room in the area is 740 square meters, which is in line with the landscape elements of recreational objects for the elderly. It has built-in appreciation and entertainment projects that the elderly like to see and hear, creating a prosperous sunset life for the elderly.
(3) Ornamental plant area. In addition to planting more than 100 kinds of precious trees, flowers and local vegetation, an ornamental greenhouse with an area of 750 square meters and a group of warm corridors with an area of 165 square meters are also built in this area.
(4) Quiet rest area. This area is a good place for visitors to take a walk and rest with its elegant and popular garden features. In addition to the winding Yong road and beautiful flower beds, a group of rest corridors with an area of 125 square meters is specially built to provide a beautiful resting place for the majority of tourists.
(5) Children's activity area. In this area, a group of rubber and plastic floor tiles, children's cartoon wall and a five element square of gold, wood, water, fire and earth are designed and constructed in a romantic way. At the same time, five groups of children's amusement equipment are set up. It can be called a good place for children to play and develop their intelligence.
(6) Stone Forest viewing area. This area takes the special wood fossils of western Liaoning as the main raw materials, and uses a variety of modeling techniques to pile up and plant a stone forest scenic spot, which is "made by human, just like the open sky", so that visitors can enjoy the intricate and confusing in the simple and elegant.
The woody stone forest is located in the north of the park, covering an area of more than 4000 square meters. It is composed of more than 200 woody fossils, forming a woody stone forest landscape. It is the second ex situ preserved wood stone forest in the world after Shenzhen wood stone forest. These lignified stones were formed 150 million years ago in Yixian and Western Liaoning. At that time, due to crustal movement or volcanic eruption, ancient forests were instantly buried by sand or volcanic lava. Over a long period of time, organic matter in trees was gradually replaced by silica. Therefore, fossil wood, also known as silicified wood, is a fossilized trunk. Because this process requires a very special natural environment and crustal movement, the wood stone forest landscape is extremely precious and rare in the world. In a word, the park has thousands of years of cultural accumulation, with the decisive battle between Liaoning and Shenyang; northern scenery, Jiangnan beauty, Sui temple, Liao tower, Biwa and Yunqiang meet; in fact, it is a cultural landscape full of cultural taste and sightseeing function in western Liaoning.
The landscape design style of Guta historical park has inherited the essence of China's traditional gardening, and has used the modern landscape architecture design method, drawing on the successful experience of European and American Gardens, fully expressing the characteristics of the times and the local characteristics of western Liaoning.
With its unique garden style, the Millennium ancient pagoda and modern garden are integrated into one. It has become another tourist attraction in Jinzhou and even Liaoning Province, especially the wood stone forest, which is very unique. Guangji temple is located in the North Street of Guta District in the city. It is an ancient building integrating pagoda and temple. There is Tianhou palace in the west, Zhaozhong temple in the East and Guanyin Pavilion in the southernmost, forming an ancient building complex of Guangji temple with Guangji temple and pagoda as the main body. In June 2001, it was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.
Guangji temple and Guangji pagoda were both built in the Qing Ning period of the Liao Dynasty. Except that part of the base of the main hall is the original of the Liao Dynasty, the rest were built in the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty. Guangji Temple Pagoda is a typical Liao Dynasty pagoda, which is a solid brick Pagoda with octagonal 13 levels of dense eaves. The tower is 71.25m high after maintenance in 1996. Guangji Temple Pagoda in the northeast and even among the ancient pagodas in the country is relatively tall, but it is big and not naive, giving people a sense of magnificence. All the brick carvings on the tower are exquisite and lifelike, and each carving can be regarded as a fine artistic crystallization. In the early years, "the ancient pagoda crow" became one of the eight famous scenic spots in Jinzhou. Today, the crow goes to the swallow, which is as interesting as it was in the past. It has been rated as one of the new ten best sceneries "ancient pagoda Zhaohui" and has become a key cultural tourism site. Located on the west side of Guangji temple, the queen of heaven palace in Jinzhou was built in Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty. Merchants from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and other places spread Mazu culture from Meizhou ancestral temple in Fujian to Jinzhou, and built a palace for worship. The Empress Dowager palace in Jinzhou can be called the largest in the north and is famous in the south of the Yangtze River. Especially the exquisite carvings of bricks, stones and wood show the rich cultural heritage of Jinzhou.
In the northeast corner of Guangji temple, Jinzhou Yijun Zhaozhong temple is built. The temple was also the imperial edict of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, built for the Yijun soldiers who died in the Sino Japanese War of 1894-1895. There are more than 300 pieces of death tablets in the temple. Outside the temple stands the stele of chijianyijun Zhaozhong temple, which is the only record of the land war between China and Japan in the Sino Japanese War of 1894-1895. It has become a patriotic education base.
Guanyin Pavilion is built in front of Guangji temple. It was built in the Ming Dynasty and maintained many times in the Qing Dynasty. The architectural layout is exquisite.
Taking a comprehensive view of the ancient buildings of Guangji temple, there are actually five groups of buildings. With their architectural functions, they reflect different types of cultural connotations. They are different in their own ways and integrated into one, which shows the history and civilization of the ancient city of Jinzhou to the people.
