Among them, the main building is 15924 square meters, which is a modern building with unique appearance designed by OWP company of Germany according to the shape of aircraft engine.
Development history
With the development of new China, China's civil aviation industry is growing stronger and stronger. It plays an increasingly important role in China's socialist modernization and opening up. In the past 50 years, it has gone through a glorious development process. By 2002, the total turnover of air transport has increased to 16.5 billion ton kilometers (excluding Hong Kong and Macao), ranking the fifth in the world, entering the ranks of the world's aviation powers, and recognized by the world as the country with the most development potential. The development of China's civil aviation benefits from the implementation of the national policy of reform and opening up, the hard work and hard struggle of civil aviation workers over the years, and more importantly, the wise leadership of the Party Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Commission. This is a valuable material and spiritual wealth left to us. As one of the major transportation industries in China, there is no museum that can reflect the development history and achievements of CAAC. The construction of China Civil Aviation Museum (civil aviation science and education training base) has been put on the agenda without delay.
On June 29, 2002, President Jiang Zemin of the people's Republic of China issued presidential order No. 73, officially promulgating the law of the people's Republic of China on the popularization of science and technology. The "science popularization law" requires that "people's governments at all levels should incorporate science popularization into the national economic and social development plan, so as to create a good environment and conditions for carrying out science popularization". In the third chapter "social responsibility" and the fourth chapter "safeguard measures" of the science popularization law, it is specially emphasized that "the government should invest in the construction of science popularization venues"; at the same time, "the State encourages social organizations and individuals at home and abroad to donate property to support science popularization undertakings; preferential treatment should be given to those who donate property to science popularization undertakings or invest in the construction of science popularization venues and facilities according to law".
On December 27, 2002, CAAC decided to build the Civil Aviation Museum of China. A leading group for the construction of Civil Aviation Museum of China has been set up, with Yang Yuanyuan, director of CAAC, as the group leader and Bao Peide, former deputy director of CAAC, as the Deputy group leader. CAAC is determined to build a world-class Civil Aviation Museum.
architectural composition
Civil Aviation Museum has the functions of display, popular science education and entertainment. The museum's multi-function cinema has three cinemas, including an IMAX giant screen cinema, a digital cinema and a film cinema. The science popularization interactive area is equipped with three types of flight simulators, namely Airbus A320, Sirui and dreamland. Civil aviation museum can provide visitors with popular science education, leisure and entertainment services.
Collection
The construction of Civil Aviation Museum and collection work have received extensive participation and strong support from all walks of life, and a large number of collections and aircraft objects have been collected, including Li 2, bae146, IL 14, Trident, Yun 7, Airbus a310200 and other transport aircraft used in different historical periods of civil aviation in China. The museum also displays a large number of valuable historical documents and materials, including hump air transportation, uprising of the two airlines, August 1 flight, Lhasa trial, etc.
Il-14 transport aircraft
Mao Zedong's special plane is treasured in the Civil Aviation Museum of China. The il-14 transport plane, whose plane number is b-4208, is 21.31 meters long, 31.7 meters wide and 7.8 meters high. It has two piston 8A engines with a endurance of 8 hours and 10 minutes. There are 17 seats, a low bed, a sofa and a desk in the cabin. Chairman Mao Zedong's photo is hung on the right side of the front partition of the cabin In 1985, the plane served with the former Zhongyuan airlines. In 1992, it was grounded according to the relevant regulations of civil aviation. In 1994, it was transported to Shaolin temple for exhibition. In 2000, China Southern Airlines and the former Zhongyuan Airlines jointly reorganized, and the plane was transported back to Henan Branch of China Southern Airlines. Because the moving wing of the aircraft is made of linen, it has been damaged after decades of wind and sun. Therefore, Henan Branch of China Southern Airlines reassembled and repaired the aircraft in 2001 without changing the original structure and logo of the aircraft. After installing the aluminum platinum moving wing on the aircraft, it was preserved as a cultural relic.
The future fate of civil aviation enterprises does not lie in the number of tangible assets and the size of occupied sites, but in the competition of intangible assets. The historical and cultural value of il-14 aircraft has become a huge intangible asset of China Southern Airlines. Therefore, the history working committee of China Southern Airlines focuses on integrating the history, culture, people's heart, brand and cohesion of China Southern Airlines. At the 113th anniversary of Comrade Mao Zedong's birthday, the departure ceremony of Chairman Mao Zedong's plane was held, and the plane that Mao Zedong and the older generation of state leaders had taken was transported to the Civil Aviation Museum of China. It is not only a mobilization meeting for collecting the exhibition collection of the Civil Aviation Museum, but also a meeting for collecting the collection It is also an important responsibility of China Southern Airlines to support the construction of Civil Aviation Museum of China with practical actions, reflecting that the working committee of historical records of China Southern Airlines actively collects the exhibition collection of Civil Aviation Museum of China and participates in the compilation of "civil aviation annals of China" and "Civil Aviation Annals of China". All staff of China Southern Airlines feel very proud of this. At the same time, the collection of Mao Zedong's plane by the Civil Aviation Museum of China is its best destination. It will be better protected, collected and used. It condenses the deep feelings of civil aviation people for Chairman Mao Zedong, so that people can look forward to and remember Chairman Mao Zedong's great achievements and review the development history of civil aviation of China.
Airbus A310
Behind il-14 is the Airbus A310 (b-2301), the museum's largest collection. It is the first Airbus aircraft introduced by China on June 25, 1985. Painting is an active service style of China Eastern Airlines. After retirement, the aircraft was purchased by Airbus from China Eastern Airlines and donated on September 27, 2006.
Li-2
Behind the A310 is a li-2 (324) aircraft donated by Daliang Street Office of Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province on January 24, 2007. The plane was originally displayed in a park in Shunde.
Yun-5
On the right side of the A310 is a yun-5 (8404). On April 5, 2007, CAAC flight academy donated it together with another Y5. The condition of this plane is OK. The other one is worse. It is between bae146-100 and yun-7-100. The skin of the wing has been damaged.
B-2207
On the right side of Y-5 is a trident (b-2207) painted by CAAC. In March 2006, it was provided by the Chinese people's Revolutionary Military Museum. It turned out that this plane was parked on the right side of the gate of Junbo, and it was Deng Xiaoping's special plane.
