Wuwei Confucian Temple
Wuwei Confucian temple is located in Chongwen street, Liangzhou District, Wuwei city. It is composed of Confucian Academy, Confucian temple and Wenchang palace. It was first built in 1437-1439 of Zhengtong period of Ming Dynasty, and then rebuilt and expanded in Chenghua of Ming Dynasty, Shunzhi of Qing Dynasty, Kangxi, Qianlong, Daoguang of Qing Dynasty and the period of the Republic of China. It has been more than 500 years. It is known as the "crown of Longyou academy".
Now it is a national key cultural relic protection unit and a national AAAA tourist attraction. The main scenic spots are Wenchang palace, Shanmen, Chongsheng temple, Dacheng hall, halberd gate, Lingxing gate, Zhuangyuan bridge, panchi, Zunjing Pavilion, Confucian Academy, etc.
Wuwei City Museum in Wuwei Confucian temple has more than 45000 pieces of cultural relics (sets), including 2 Chinese treasures, 168 first-class cultural relics, 268 second-class cultural relics and 573 third-class cultural relics. It is the second largest historical museum in Gansu Province.
Development history
Wuwei Confucian temple was first built in 1437-1439, the second to fourth year of Zhengtong period of Ming Dynasty. After reconstruction and expansion in Chenghua of Ming Dynasty, Shunzhi of Qing Dynasty, Kangxi, Qianlong, Daoguang of Qing Dynasty and the period of the Republic of China, it has formed a group of buildings with perfect layout. So far, it has been more than 500 years, known as "the crown of Longyou academy".

Wuwei Confucian temple is located in the South East corner of Wuwei city. The block is from north to south. The plane is rectangular. It is 198 meters long from north to South and 152 meters wide from east to west. It covers an area of 30096 square meters. It is composed of Wenchang palace, Confucius Temple and Confucian Academy.
The east courtyard has Guiji hall as the center, with Mountain Gate in front and Chongsheng Temple behind, East and west gate and theater in the middle, Sanxian temple, Liugong temple, niugong temple, keting and east-west two verandas on the left and right, which are generally called Wenchang palace; the middle courtyard has Dacheng hall as the center, with panchi, zhuangyuanqiao, Lingxing gate, Jimen, Dacheng hall and Zunjing pavilion from south to North in turn, with famous official, Xiangxian two temples and east-west two verandas on the left and right, It is generally called Confucius Temple; the West Academy is a Confucian Academy, with only two ancestral halls of loyalty, filial piety and righteousness in front.

Plaque of Confucian Temple
There are more than 30 stone tablets from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty and dozens of plaques from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China in Wuwei Confucian temple. Among them are the famous "sensing tower stele of Huguo Temple" in Xixia and the "stele of Wang Shixun, also the capital of Gaochang" in Yuan Dynasty.
