Qingdao TV Tower

Qingdao TV Tower is the most advanced, the largest scale and the third most comprehensive function in the world. You can take the high-speed elevator to the revolving restaurant which is 160 meters high. You can have a panoramic view of the sunrise on the sea, the moonlight on the sky and the scenery of the island city.

However, because the TV Tower is located at the top of Taiping mountain, there is no suitable bus to go directly to the TV Tower. However, there is a free service bus to go directly to the TV Tower at the gate of Sanhui commercial building on Yan'an Road.

As the TV Tower is very close to Zhongshan Park, it is also recommended to visit with Zhongshan Park. The cableway in Zhongshan Park can directly lead to the base of the TV Tower. In fact, it's a ten minute walk from the park to the TV.

Qingdao TV Tower

Qingdao TV Tower is located on Taiping mountain, 116 meters high, in Zelin Park in the center of Qingdao City, Shandong Province. Designed by Mr. Ma renle of Tongji University, Shanghai, and constructed by the TV Tower project headquarters of Qingdao radio and Television Bureau. The foundation was laid on January 6, 1993 and completed in 1995. The tower is 232 meters high. It was selected as "the biggest honor of China" by the development research center of the State Council in 1995 for its new ideas, good selection of points, reasonable functional layout, harmonious color and large scale.

General situation

Qingdao beech forest park is built in the mountains with winding paths and lush beech trees. Beech forest park was built in 1984, covering an area of 390 mu.

There are artificial lake, mother and son, corridor, beech forest park and other facilities and attractions.

In the 1990s, a new tourism TV Tower, Qingdao TV Tower, was built at an altitude of 110 meters.

The tower is 232 meters high, and is called "the first steel tower in China". It is only inferior to the Dubai tower, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower (467.9 meters), the new TV Tower in Guangzhou (600 meters), the CN TV Tower in Canada (553.3 meters), the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Harbin Dragon Tower, and the Tokyo TV Tower in Japan.

The main body is all steel structure, with multi-function of TV receiving and transmitting, tourism and entertainment.

The TV Tower is located at the top of Taiping mountain. There is no suitable bus to get to it, but there is a free service bus to get to the TV Tower at the gate of Sanhui commercial building on Yan'an Road. You can get up the mountain by bus.

Architectural features

The tower is composed of crown, butterfly and ball. The tower crown is on the third floor of the ground, with a maximum diameter of 56 meters. The first floor is mainly equipped with mini theater, VIP Hall, multi-function hall and business center.

There is a small stage on the left side of the hall as the background for taking photos.

Behind it is a large simulation waterfall of green plexiglass, also known as water curtain, which is a big landscape of TV Tower.

There are boutique shopping malls and fast food centers on the second floor, and tourist souvenir shopping malls on the third floor.

The body of the tower is octahedral steel frame structure, and the side is parabolic.

In the middle of the tower, there is a glass curtain column with a diameter of 10 meters and a height of 90 meters. There are three elevators and a climbing ladder for up and down traffic.

Among them, the two elevators carrying tourists are Otis high-speed elevators in the United States, with a running speed of 2.5 meters per second and an altitude of 226 meters in 43 seconds.

Tadi is 32 meters in diameter and has a rotating platform. There is a 4.5-meter-wide circular open-air sightseeing platform above the tower butterfly.

Take the elevator to the next floor to reach the tower ball 130 meters away. The surface of the tower ball is sealed with glass and divided into four layers.

The tower is a multifunctional TV Tower integrating radio and TV transmission and tourism.

According to its comprehensive functional design, it ranks third in the world, second only to the Eiffel Tower in France and the Tokyo TV Tower in Japan.

It can simultaneously transmit five sets of radio FM programs, six sets of TV programs and direct to microwave functions.

At the same time, it can also use the tower height and internal space to carry out tourism and other projects.

Honors

As the highest tourist attraction in Qingdao, Qingdao TV Tower won the title of "one of the top ten scenic spots in Qingdao" in 1997.

It takes about 40 minutes to visit the whole tower.

Jinan Qingdao Expressway / Qingyin Expressway - exit of high tech Zone - Haier Road - Donghai Road - Yan'an third road - go up the mountain along Taiqing road to reach the sightseeing tower. It takes about 30 minutes to get off the expressway.

Take bus No.1, No.4, No.15, No.25, No.205, No.212, no.217, no.219, No.220, no.225, No.302, no.307 and No.308 to Yan'an No.2 Road station, and take bus No.3, No.11 and No.36 to the zoo north gate station.

a dedicated line

There are free shuttle buses from the bus station in front of sanhuimen on Yan'an second road to the TV Tower parking lot every half hour.

Tips

Driving tour: you can drive from Yan'an Road, Yan'an Second Road, Shangqing Road, jiushui road to Longtan Road and climb the tower on the ring mountain road of Zelin park.

Walking route: along the west side of Shangqing road TV Tower Service Center, the newly built uphill stone step road ascends the tower, and it only takes 5 minutes to get there.
