Jiangxin Park
Jiangxin Park, formerly known as Sanxianzhou, is an island park in the Minjiang River, more than 1000 meters upstream of Jiefang Bridge. In the north, it looks at wanglongtai in cangxiazhou, and in the south, it looks at wangbeitai in Longtan corner across the river. Covering an area of 4.83 hectares, the island is an alluvial sandbank.
Historical evolution
It is said that hundreds of years ago, when the sandbank was first formed, farmers in neighboring Min County, Houguan county and Huai'an County boarded the sandbank one after another and planted poles to encircle the land, so disputes often occurred. Later, it was judged by Fuzhou magistrate as "three counties in common", so this island was called "three counties island".
Jiangxin Park was founded in 1982, surrounded by rivers. The park is full of green trees and dense vegetation. There are nearly 100 species of southern subtropical plants, such as banyan, kapok, mango, litchi and longxia. With its unique geographical advantages, beautiful environment and pleasant climate, it was once a natural summer resort in Fuzhou and a romantic "Love Island" in Fuzhou.
In 1995, CCTV and Fuzhou Municipal Government jointly held the "Lantern Festival party" here, which made Jiangxin Park famous all over the country.
In 1997, due to the construction of Sanxianzhou bridge, Jiangxin Park was closed as a construction material storage area and a migrant worker's residence,
For 18 years.
In 2012, Cangshan District Party committee and government of Fuzhou City listed the upgrading and reconstruction of Jiangxin Park as the project of "doing practical things for the people". It is planned to invest 20 million yuan to upgrade and reconstruct Jiangxin park. However, after that, Fuzhou municipal Party committee and government decided to include Jiangxin Park into the protective development of Yantai Mountain historic area. The reconstruction plan of Jiangxin park will be upgraded again, and the previously proposed upgrading plan will be temporarily suspended.
In October 2013, the reconstruction project was restarted. By March 2014, the reconstruction project had completed the demolition of abandoned buildings, surface cleaning, tree pruning, and infrastructure construction of service center and public toilets.
Due to the desertification of the soil in the park, the incompleteness of the embankment and the disrepair of the revetment, it is necessary to reinforce the revetment.
In March 2014, Fuzhou planning and Design Institute completed the design scheme and construction drawing of landscape reconstruction project of Jiangxin park.
On February 2, 2016, Jiangxin Park finally opened.
On February 14, 2016, Jiangxin Park in Fuzhou, which has been closed for 19 years, was reopened.
Main attractions
Before 1997, there were children's playground, goldfish hall and swimming pool on the sandbank, and there were pavilions along the river at the east end of the sandbank for people to fish. The north and south of wangbeitai and diaolongtai echo each other. Visitors can have a picnic on the green grass, sunbathe on the white sand beach, paddle, go boating, listen to the waves, and come here to enjoy the moon and cool off in summer.
There are more than 50000 silver birch, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, willow, green bamboo, hibiscus mutabilis, citrus and taraxacum in Jiangxin park. Among them, three ancient banyan trees are more than several hundred years old.
Reconstruction project
The reconstructed Jiangxin Park focuses on three main features: ecology, humanity and wisdom. The original dense trees and vegetation on the island have been preserved. In addition, more than 40 kinds of ornamental plant groups, such as cherry blossom, Osmanthus fragrans and Plumeria, have been replanted to form a plant landscape in line with the natural ecological community. Visitors can get close to the forest river, bathe in nature, watch the dense tree community and the green water of Minjiang River, experience the original ecological natural environment and biodiversity, and feel the natural and fresh scenery.
The reconstructed Jiangxin park also takes advantage of the characteristics of Jiangxin Island, combines the revetment reinforcement, highlights the hydrophilic characteristics, and builds a 1.2 km hydrophilic walk around the island to view the river. Aquatic plants are planted along the revetment to maintain the ecological integrity of the wetland system, so that the public can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Minjiang River.
In addition, the use of buried sewage ecological treatment and ecological water treatment means to achieve zero sewage discharge. According to the introduction, the buried sewage ecological treatment method is to build the ecological treatment pool into a "island in the pool" scenic spot to form a "island in the island" and realize zero discharge of sewage; the ecological water treatment method concentrates the rainwater, sewage and wastewater on the island in the pool for treatment, and realizes zero discharge of sewage combined with landscape water.
In order to commemorate the 1995 Lantern Festival Gala, two hundred year old banyan trees are preserved as the landmark of the square. The performance square with three functions of performing arts, rest and commemoration is restored. It is a place for Fuzhou citizens to understand the cultural history of Jiangxin Island, retrieve memory and display the development of contemporary society.
Through the Linshui cultural square and cultural exhibition hall, the history of Cangshan culture and folk culture is displayed, so that the general public and tourists can understand and experience Cangshan culture and the unique charm of Fujian Taiwan Linshui culture.
