Taoyuan station of high-speed railway is a railway station of Taiwan high-speed railway and Taoyuan Airport Express. It is located in Qingpu, Chungli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan Province, so it is commonly known as Qingpu station of high-speed railway. Taoyuan station is an important railway passenger station in Taiwan. The station is equipped with station hall, entrance and exit, transportation management center and high-speed railway operation control center. In addition to connecting with the first floor of the high-speed railway station through the outdoor passageway, there are also special passageways and gates to connect with the toll area on the ground floor of the high-speed railway station, through which high-speed railway passengers can travel to Taoyuan International Airport, Taoyuan City, Xinbei City, Taipei City and other areas along the line.

Taoyuan high speed railway station only stops at line C, line D and line E. Due to its proximity to the air force Taoyuan base, the station is restricted by aviation regional buildings, and the location of the station is relatively high, so it is designed as an underground station with the permission of funds. Because the platform and track are both underground, the decompression well is needed to solve the piston effect caused by high-speed train passing. However, the design of decompression well was improper when the train was first opened to traffic, and the train speed was limited to 120 km / h. It was not until the completion of the improvement project in 2011 that the train was able to pass at 300 km / h. The aviation height limit was lifted in June 2013 due to the deconstruction of the air force Taoyuan base.

Construction scale

Taoyuan station of high-speed railway, with a total construction area of 81516 square meters, shares three floors with Taoyuan station of Taojie high-speed railway system, including one floor above ground and two floors below ground. The first floor above the ground is the entrance and exit of the hall and the ticket office. The first floor below the ground (B1) is the hall space, waiting area and other shops. The second floor below the ground (B2) is the platform space with two side platforms. In addition, there are tourist service counters and various shops on the first floor.

Traffic transfer
