Huangpu village, where Huangpu ancient port wharf is located, is located in Haizhu District, adjacent to Xingang East Road in the north, Luntou across Huangpu Bay in the south, Donghuan Expressway in the west, Changzhou and Shenjing across the Pearl River in the East. Huangpu ancient port witnessed the prosperity of Guangzhou's "maritime Silk Road". Since the Song Dynasty, Huangpu village has played an important role in overseas trade for a long time. In the Southern Song Dynasty, this place was already "the place where sea ships gathered". Huangpu ancient port area is divided into four functional areas, namely commemorative exhibition area, ancient port park area, plank road catering area and village square area. It is a "cultural park type scenic spot" integrating exhibition, communication, entertainment and leisure. The memorial exhibition area consists of Huangpu tax hall, Yongjing camp (Barracks), comprador hall, Yiwu office and Exhibition Street. Huangpu tax hall is the focus of the whole building complex. The barracks is equipped with barracks, lookout platform, weapon rack, etc.
