Ancient sea maze
The ancient submarine labyrinth is located on the green hills of Shalan village, Xiangzhou Town, Xiangzhou County, Guangxi Province, covering an area of about 20 mu. According to relevant experts, the rocks in the labyrinth were formed in the Devonian period about 350-400 million years ago by the changes of the submarine crust and the long-term erosion of the sea water, and belong to the structure landform of rock volume erosion. Paleofossils of marine organisms can be seen everywhere around it, so it can be used for reference. It's made up of thousands of tons of rock.
The labyrinth is dotted with stone halls, stone wells and stone gates. The stone lanes are crisscross and tortuous. The wide part of the lane can allow two people to walk side by side, and the narrow part can only accommodate one person to walk sideways or even bend over. The lanes are connected in all directions and are shaped like eight trigrams array. If there is no direction guide or road sign, it is easy to get lost. Therefore, the ancient seabed labyrinth gets its name. The dense shrubs and wild vines in the labyrinth shuttle and interweave from the air, making the lane shade from the sun. Among them, the vines surround the trees, the trees lean against the rocks, and the rocks connect with the vines, forming a wonderful scene. What's more strange is that the whole labyrinth is rather like a castle. Because it is covered by thick shrub and wild rattan, the labyrinth is extremely hidden. During the Anti Japanese War, it used to be a shelter and made great contributions to protect the people of Shalan village.
The ancient sea maze is surrounded by peach, plum, pear, persimmon, bamboo and other fruit trees. When the peach blossom is in full bloom and the fruit is ripe, people come in groups to enjoy the cool under the fruit trees, have a picnic and barbecue, play cards on the stone table for entertainment, take photos or shake leisurely in the hammock.
