Jinyin lake is located in Dongxihu District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. It is located at 114 ° 07 ′ E and 30 ° 38 ′ - 30 ° 37 ′ n. It is one of the largest urban wetland parks in Wuhan city and national urban wetland park.

According to the records of the meteorological department, the extreme minimum temperature is - 18.1 ℃, and the annual frost free period is 234 days. The business city is surrounded by the beautiful Jinyin lake. The water surface area of Jinyin lake is 6km. The water quality of the lake is the second grade national standard. As the largest and best ecological lake in Hankou, Jinyin lake has unique advantages: 12000 mu of water area, 42000 meters of lake shoreline, four waterways of dongliugang, huangshihai, xiaoxianghai and Jinghe, and nine peninsulas such as Jindao, yindao and Wolong island.

Wuhan Jinyin Lake Park was built in 2001, covering an area of 1155 mu, including 255 mu of peninsula type land, 900 mu of lake surface, and 91% of wetland area. This is a natural ecological country wetland park dominated by aquatic plants, which is open to the public free of charge.

Plant varieties

There are 188 plant species in the park. There are more than 10 species of birds throughout the year, forming a population. It is also the experimental base for the introduction and planting of aquatic plants in Wuhan Garden Research Institute.

In 2007, Wuhan Jinyin Lake Park was listed in the first batch of "National Urban Wetland Park" released by the Ministry of construction. Jinyin Lake Park is the only provincial capital city park selected.
