Xiangshui Temple

--Xiangshui temple is a famous Taoist temple in Dandong. It is also an original ecological scenic spot without development planning and construction. There are mountains, water, waterfalls, deep pools, maple leaves, forests, temple sites, etc. in the scenic spot.

Xiangshui Temple

Xiangshui temple, also known as Xiangshui temple, is located in Baoshi village, maodianzi Town, Kuandian County, Dandong City. It is a famous Taoist temple in Dandong area, 73 kilometers away from Dandong City. It is a place with picturesque mountains, intact vegetation, turbulent Pinghu Lake, suspended springs and waterfalls. It is a place with boundless wind and moon.

Fushou mountain

Fushou mountain is the main peak of Xiangshui Temple scenic area. It rises abruptly from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain. The whole stone is hundreds of meters from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain. The East Cliff is steep and colorful. The color of Shifeng's lines is changeable and mysterious. The ancient pines on the cliff at the top of the mountain are empty, or tall and straight, or spread their wings across the sky, forming a wonderful Chinese landscape painting. Xiangshui temple, located in the center of Fushou mountain, is a Taoist temple built during the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. Now there are only ruins, stones and debris. When incense was at its peak, it was the largest temple in the south of Kuandian. In front of the temple, there is a stone peak called "the top of the temple". Behind it, there is a Hengfeng peak. In front of it, there are two peaks of flat dragon and crouching tiger, surrounded by ancient trees. 50 meters to the east of the temple is a flat land with dense jungle. Under the trees is a grass pond with a unique cave.

East Lake Waterfall

The East Lake Waterfall is 52 meters tall. The two springs from the top of the mountain scour the rock mountain into an arc-shaped deep cave, forming a 90 ° cliff fault. Waterfall water pouring, roaring vast, clouds pouring fog, Huxiao Longyin. Because the cliff is high and the water is large, the stone layer under the waterfall is washed into a 30 square meter deep blue pool; the water is full and overflowing, forming an 8-meter-high cascade; the water flows out of the canyon along the stream and flows into the Xiangshui River, forming a banshikang lake, which is a natural bathing place. From the waterfall to the slate Kang, a 300 meter long gorge is connected by stone peaks on both sides, with strange peaks, beautiful rocks and jagged stems. In the valley and around the waterfall, the ancient trees are towering, the old pines are lying horizontally, the vines and pueraria are hanging, the green is rich, the cold is quiet. At the edge of the deep pool under the waterfall, you can still see the cold ice in early summer every year, but the cliffs around the frozen ice are luxuriant in vegetation and gorgeous in mountain flowers, which is amazing.

Jiulongtan

Jiulong lake, formerly known as Sandao lake, has nine waterfalls and nine deep pools, which are divided into three parts, each of which has three waterfalls and three pools. Toudao lake turns into a narrow valley and rises 10 meters along the turbulent stream. There is a round pool. The water is as green as dye and deep as a bronze drum. The cliffs beside the pool are convex and concave, and the thin rocks are jagged. The ancient trees cover the sky, like a dark and deep cave. There is a natural stone ridge beside the pool, where three waterfalls can be seen flying down at the same time.

Xiangshui view

It is said that it was built in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt many times in later generations, especially in the Qing Dynasty. Xiangshui temple is built close to the mountain. It is of Xieshan or two-story brick cornice structure. The gate of the mountain is equipped with ochre red walls. In addition, there is a steep step outside the gate, which makes the character of the temple more majestic and solemn. Xiangshui temple is divided into the north and the south, and the main hall and the rear earth hall are at the entrance. This is a nearly ten meter high hard mountain style three Ying hall out of the building, with blue bricks and gray tiles, carved beams and painted buildings, magnificent. The hall is dedicated to the holy places such as Houtu, nvzhuo and Guanyin. In front of the hall, there is a pond and five big trees in the courtyard, with clear water and green shade. There are several rafters in the north courtyard, red wooden columns, wood edges and flower windows. It is quiet and simple. It is the residence and guest house of Taoists. On the right side of the main hall of Xiangshui temple, there is a 40 meter deep natural cave called yaoqin cave, in which a clear spring flows out and gurgles. After the spring flows out, it flows from south to North from the dragon mouth embedded in the outer wall of the temple to the bichan mouth crouching in the pond. It makes a sound and flies to the valley, so it is called "Xiangshui Temple".

Self driving: from Beijing to Dandong, it's the whole expressway. After leaving the entrance of Dandong expressway, turn left, go to Kuandian County, take national highway 201. After arriving at maodianzi Town, go west along yongbianxian highway for 3 km to Baoshi village, where the scenic spot is located. Take Baodong line village Road 4 km north to Baoshi village entrance.
