Qingbomen, one of the ten ancient city gates in Hangzhou, was called hanshuimen in the Five Dynasties. Qingbomen is commonly known as the secret gate because it has a hidden ditch to lead the lake water into the city. In the Northern Song Dynasty, qingbomen was built, and people still called it "secret gate". Lu You's "night pan West Lake" has a saying that "riding out of the secret door". In the 28th year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty, Hangzhou city was built. Qingbomen is one of the west city gates. The gate tower is close to the southeast of the West Lake. It takes the meaning of "Qingbo" as the name gate, which has been used for generations. Because it is close to the West Lake, the scenery is beautiful.
Qingbomen is also the training place of white lady and Xiaoqing in the legend of white snake, and the temporary residence of Xu Xian.
Qingbo gate
Qingbo gate is one of the top ten ancient city gates in Hangzhou.
Qingbo gate was shuimen in Wu and Yue dynasties. In the 28th year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty, Hangzhou city was built as gate 13. Qingbo gate is one of the Xicheng gates, which is close to the southeast of the lake. It is named after "Qingbo" and has been used throughout the dynasties. Because Liufu underground ditch leads the lake water into the city, it is commonly known as the secret gate. There are many historic sites in the area of qingbomen. Historically, it used to be the residence of poets, poets, calligraphers and painters. Because the gate leads to Nanshan, most people need firewood to transport in from this gate. Therefore, there is a folk saying that "chaidaner outside qingbomen". In the 10th year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty, Taiping Army dug a tunnel to break the wall of qingbomen and entered Hangzhou. In the second year of the Republic of China, Hangzhou began to demolish the city. After the demolition of "Qiying", the three gates of Qingbo, Yongjin and Qiantang and the city wall were demolished and rebuilt into Nanshan Road and Hubin Road. In order to make the later generations understand the changes of the city, an inscription was set up on the site.
brief introduction
Qingbomen was built in the 28th year of Shaoxing (1158) in the Southern Song Dynasty. It is one of the four gates in the west city. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, Qianhu gate, one of the four city gates near the lake, was abandoned, while only Qingbo gate, Yongjin gate and Qiantang gate existed in the west city. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, qingbomen became the only channel for people to go in and out of the southwest of the city. After the revolution of 1911, qingbomen was destroyed in the process of demolishing the city and building roads. The former site of qingbomen in the south of the intersection of qingbomen street and Nanshan Road has long disappeared in the dust of history, leaving only such a place name for people to hang on to. Gao Zhu of the Southern Song Dynasty wrote in "on the lake in the spring day": "when the boat is released outside the Qingbo gate, the sun is light and cold, and I love the guest's clothes. Flowers laugh, people talk, willow wall shadow, swallow fly. When the wind blows in the morning, the pear is thin, and when the rain falls at night, the shepherd's purse is fat. It's better to remember the old mountain and spring, and come at night to send the dream back. " It depicts the attractive scenery around qingbomen at that time. Now we can only imagine it in words. In the old days, poets, CI poets, Essayists and painters gathered around qingbomen. The old house of Zhang Xian (ziye), a poet of the Northern Song Dynasty, is in Liuzhou, outside the gate of Qingbo. At the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhou Wei lived in the south of Qingbo gate, and his collection of notes was also called Qingbo magazine. Zhou Mi, who wrote "old stories in Wulin", also lives nearby. Liu Songnian, one of the four great painters in the Southern Song Dynasty, was called "secret Liu" because he lived in qingbomen.

Chai dan'er outside Qingbo gate
"Chai dan'er outside Qingbo gate" has been the unique scenery outside Qingbo since Song Dynasty. In the old days, the main fuel for cooking and tea was wood and charcoal. The main source of firewood in Hangzhou is from Fuyang, Tonglu and other mountainous areas in the southwest. So there are many firewood shops near qingbomen. However, according to the older generation, this was less said in the late Qing Dynasty. In the Republic of China, there was almost no firewood to buy. During the Japanese puppet period, in order to guard against the Anti Japanese armed forces, the mountains outside the city were cut down. The late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. And "Ma bao'er outside Qingbo gate". Ma bao'er is a person who raises, rents and walks horses with tourists. This is not only the passage for riding in a sedan chair to visit the West Lake, but also evolved in the late Qing Dynasty to encourage the children of the eight banners to be good at riding.
folk custom
Enjoy tea on the southeast Bank of Liuxi lake, the lakeside zone from yongjinmen to qingbomen on Nanshan Road. In the Southern Song Dynasty, jujingyuan, the largest imperial garden built by song Xiaozong to support song Gaozong, covers an area of about 21 hectares. It is close to the city wall in the East and the West Lake in the West. Spring in March, spring breeze blowing, the long willow forest area like rippling blue waves, magnificent. The yellow warbler is singing in the willow shade, which is one of the ten sceneries of West Lake in Hangzhou. Outside the gate of Qingbo is the road leading to Longjing. In spring, people come to Longjing to ask for tea. Along the way, people warmly invite you to taste tea and recommend their own tea. If you go to Wushan to taste tea, its tea "Suo Qian cake" is a famous feature of Hangzhou, and it was once praised as "the first cake in the world" in Ru Cong Wai Shi.
