Qingdao post and Telecommunications Museum covers an area of about 2500 square meters, exhibition area of about 1400 square meters. Development history
In 2009, China Unicom Qingdao Branch invested nearly 10 million yuan to repair the Qingdao post and Telecommunications Museum, which was officially opened to the public on November 21, 2010. The post and Telecommunications museum is a cultural and tourism place with modern industrial heritage, old German architecture, special post and Telecommunications Museum, popular science base, patriotic education base and other functions. There are more than 1000 cultural relics and 2000 historical pictures in the collection. Taking history as a clue, it shows tourists the development journey of post and telecommunications in the past 100 years. The operation orientation of the museum is semi public welfare. It is a comprehensive shopping and leisure place and is open to primary and secondary school students in Qingdao free of charge on a regular basis.
In terms of construction pattern, it has completely restored the original historical appearance of the German imperial post office in jiaoao in 1901, and has become a beautiful landscape in the cultural zone of the old city of Qingdao. Kong Xiangxi Office
In the exhibition hall on the second floor of Qingdao post and Telecommunications Museum, there is a restored Kong Xiangxi office. In the early 1920s, Kong Xiangxi accepted the invitation of Wang Zhengting, his classmate and then supervisor of the Lu case Rehabilitation Committee, to become director of the jiaoao port Telephone Bureau. In order to truly restore this period of history, the staff of the Museum of Posts and telecommunications, with the support of the municipal archives, inquired about a large number of historical materials and found the original instruction of Kong Xiangxi's leaving office issued by the jiaoao commercial port supervision office, which strongly supported this period of history. The instructions are as follows: "the instructions NO.2031 (former) telephone director Kong Xiangxi and Nie Qinghui are the instructions. According to the investigation, the former telephone director Kong Xiangxi's petition has been complied with. The remaining post is represented by the director Nie Qinghui. All matters handled by the bureau should be handed over clearly. In addition to ordering the financial secretary, Guo Zhuquan, to supervise the delivery, and ordering the financial secretary, Nie and Kong (former), to comply with the regulations, he also asked the former financial secretary to hand over all the items and funds in the Bureau on the next day, make a detailed list and seal it, and report it together for verification. Don't delay a little bit. We must obey the order. After he left Qingdao, Kong Xiangxi left behind a small number of things he had used, including a Japanese desk in the early 20th century and a secret code book. With these objects, Qingdao post and Telecommunications Museum has truly restored Kong Xiangxi's office.
