Suqin Palace site generally refers to suwang Palace (Qing Dynasty suwang palace in Dalian)
Located at No.9 Xinhua Street in the new urban area of Dalian, Suqin palace is a brick and stone structure Russian two-story building, covering an area of more than 2700 square meters, of which the building area is 470 square meters. This building was originally a Russian villa, which was owned by the Japanese after the Russo Japanese War. In February 1912, after the collapse of the Qing Dynasty which ruled China for nearly 300 years, the prince of Suqin fled from Beijing to Lushun. The Japanese military turned the building into Suqin palace.
Prince Su, named Shanqi, was the tenth lineal descendant of HAOGE, the eldest son of Taizong in the Qing Dynasty. In the Qing government, he served as Minister of civil affairs, Minister of military consultation, and other important posts. In February 1912, takazo Takayama of Japan's General Staff Headquarters and Japanese ronin Kawashima and Prince Su planned to establish the "Kingdom of Mongolia and Manchuria", and organized the clan party with the support of the Japanese Black Dragon Society. Prince Su's restoration activities were supported by Japanese chaebols.
In 1912, in order to further gain the support and trust of Japanese militarism and help him realize his dream of restoring the Qing Dynasty, Prince Su adopted his fourteenth daughter, Jin Bihui, as his adopted daughter, Kawashima langsu, who once served as a translator of naimuxidian, and changed her name to Kawashima Fangzi.
In 1922, Prince Su Shanqi died of illness. His life and "contributions" to the restoration of the Qing Dynasty are recorded on a stone tablet standing in the palace, and there is a bronze bust of Prince Su himself. After liberation, the steles were smashed down and the bronze statues were missing. Later, the lower part of the monument was found and is now in the custody of Lushun prison.
Suqin palace in Lushun is now a military station. The exterior of the building has been renovated and its original appearance has been changed, but the interior basically remains the same. It is now the ninth batch of provincial cultural relics protection units in Liaoning Province.
