General introduction
The former site of Lushun branch of Russian Qing bank is located at No.33 Wanle street, Lushunkou District, Dalian city. It was built in 1902 with a building area of 1564 square meters. This is a modern Russian style building. The appearance is square and exquisite; the inner courtyard has a patio, similar to a church; the building structure is solid and elegant.
At the bottom of the building is a spacious basement. One meter to the north of the building, there is a basement top cover of about 30 square meters, which is clearly visible. Under the thick concrete dome, there was a secret hidden.
During the reign of tsarist Russia, this small building was the Lushun branch of the Bank of Russia. The original site of the Russian Bank of Qing Dynasty is in gate 3 of Lushun military port in the old urban area. In 1902, after the completion of the European style two-story building in taiyanggou, the bank moved here. Later, the former site of the Russian Bank of Qing Dynasty in the old urban area became the private residence of the director of wufanfanfantian factory of the Japanese "yandaoting milled rice institute". After the private residence, there is still a beautiful 20 square meter Treasury made of granite. The Bank of Russia is the only official bank in the period of tsarist Russia. It is subordinate to the Shanghai Branch of the bank and mainly deals with Treasury Financial Affairs. This European style building is actually the bridgehead of Czarist Russia's economic plunder of China. During the Russo Japanese war in Lushun, the building was slightly damaged. In 1915, the Japanese governor's office of Kanto set up a property exhibition hall in the building to display books and various cultural relics. In 1929, it was changed into a thousand year old club and a screening room was set up, which became a place for the Japanese invaders to have fun. In August 1945, this is the Soviet office. In April 1955, the Chinese people's Liberation Army took over.
Now it is the fifth batch of municipal cultural relics protection units in Dalian.
