Changsha museum is located in the east of Changsha Binjiang Cultural Park. It is built according to the standard of "first class provincial capital and leading in China". It integrates the functions of cultural relics collection, protection and research, exhibition and publicity, and education services. The building is five stories high, with a construction area of 24000 square meters and a collection of nearly 50000 cultural relics. Among them, bronze wares of Shang and Zhou dynasties, cultural relics of Chu and Han Dynasties, and porcelain wares of Changsha kiln have attracted attention at home and abroad.
Changsha Museum opened to the public on December 28, 2015, and held two special exhibitions, namely "independent boundless calligraphy exhibition of Hunan celebrities" and "Chinese treasure special exhibition of poly returnees' fine cultural relics". At the end of 2016, two basic exhibitions will be launched: "Xiangjiang River goes north - Changsha ancient history exhibition" and "Zhongliu water - Changsha Modern History Exhibition".
Changsha museum will, with the help of a brand-new platform, focus on the needs of the public, make scientific planning and reasonable layout, lead the cultural and leisure fashion, provide star rated services of visit, leisure and education, and achieve the learning and growth journey of teenagers, the cultural and leisure journey of citizens, and the star city impression journey of tourists.

Changsha museum is located in the riverside Cultural Park (Xinhe delta), Kaifu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province. Changsha Museum has five stories, with a total area of 24000 square meters and a display area of more than 9000 square meters. The exterior of Changsha museum looks like a "hard stone". The exterior wall is a map of Changsha in the early 20th century. The facade design of the building also uses the image of bamboo slips. Baishajing, pozijie, Juzizhou and other Changsha City signs are in old song characters, indicating 18 place names familiar to Changsha people, and the external wall is decorated with Xiangjiang River flowing slowly around the wall

The four exhibition halls on the first and second floors of Changsha museum display the basic display. Treasures of the Silk Road: from the Mediterranean to China
Silk Road treasures - from Mediterranean to China - the collection exhibition of Hirayama Yufu Silk Road Art Museum, from June 13, 2020 to October 8, 2020, is on display in the special exhibition hall of Changsha Museum. Sogdians in the Tang Dynasty
The special exhibition of Tang Dynasty cultural relics collected by Sogdians in the great Tang Dynasty Luoyang Museum will be held from May 18, 2020 to August 23, 2020 in the second Hall of the special exhibition of Changsha Museum. The exhibition displays 116 pieces of Tang Dynasty cultural relics collected in Luoyang Museum, mainly including three color wares, gold and silver wares and stone carvings unearthed from Anpu tomb. The contents cover material life, spiritual life, political system and other aspects of Tang Dynasty.
