Shaobo martyrs cemetery is located in Shaobo town Shaobo lake. In order to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs who died bravely in the battle and remember their great achievements, Shaobo Town People's government built Shaobo defense martyrs cemetery in 1985.

In order to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs who died bravely in the battle and remember their great achievements, Shaobo Town People's government built Shaobo defense martyrs cemetery in 1985. Shaobo defense war martyrs cemetery is located on the beautiful bank of gaoshui river. There are monuments, martyrs' tombs and Shaobo defense war history exhibition hall. Wei Yongyi, former commander of the second central China army and former vice governor of Jiangsu Province, personally inscribed the name of the park at the age of 89. The 16.3-meter-high monument to the martyrs in the park is inscribed on three sides by Chen Pixian, former political commissar of the Soviet Central Military Region of the New Fourth Army and former vice chairman of the National People's Congress, "the revolutionary martyrs of Shaobo's defense are immortal." the former Dawang temple was transformed into Shaobo's defense Memorial Hall for display Some of the remains of the soldiers were found.
In 1993, Shaobo cemetery was named "Jiangdu County patriotic education base" by Jiangdu county Party committee and county government.
historical event
In the middle of July 1946, Tang Enbo, commander of the first appeasement area of the Kuomintang in Nantong, commanded five reorganizing divisions with a total of 120000 people to attack the Central Soviet liberated area. Under the command of commander Su Yu, the central China Field Army, following the instruction of the Central Military Commission to "fight a few victories in the interior first", rose to meet the enemy with 30000 troops and launched the central Jiangsu campaign. It won seven battles and seven victories, annihilated more than 50000 enemy troops and dealt a heavy blow to the rampant Kuomintang army. Among them, from August 23 to 26, the central China field army won the sixth battle of the central Jiangsu campaign, Shaobo defense battle. In this battle, more than 2000 Kuomintang troops were killed and more than 1000 central China field troops were injured.
