High mountain and flowing water Pavilion
There is a high mountain and flowing water Pavilion in jingshiyu of Mount Tai. It is said that it is the place where Boya plays the piano. The scenery here precisely interprets the great charm of Guqin's song "high mountains and flowing water". Therefore, it is attached to the story of Bo Ya and Zhong Ziqi's bosom friend
brief introduction
High mountain and flowing water Pavilion
In the northeast of Doumu palace in Mount Tai scenic area, there is a stone pavilion named "high mountain and flowing water Pavilion" on the Western cannon kaolin in Shiyu. The stone pavilion was built by Wan Gong, Minister of the Ministry of war in 1572. Wan Gong, a native of Nanchang, was in charge of river engineering during the reign of Longqing. He climbed Mount Tai and toured the foot of dailu. Seeing the magnificent characters and unique scenery here, he built the pavilion of high mountains and flowing water. Congratulations on Guqin. It's also the meaning of Boya Guqin. All the stone pavilions are made of stone, 3.3 meters high and 2 meters wide. They are square. There are four stone pillars around them and four skirting stones under them. There are four stone beams, four inserted boards and four ridge stone beams on them. The top slope of the pavilion is very flat and there is a square stone ridge on the top. The word "high mountain and flowing water Pavilion" is engraved on the top of the beam inside the pavilion. On the top of the beam outside the pavilion is written "flowing water from the source", on the right column of the front is written "a curtain of rain pouring down from the gate of heaven", and on the left is the word "Buddhist stone spirit, thousand years of literature". That is to say, when it rains, the rain is like a falling curtain on the heavenly gate. When the curtain overflows the "Sutra stone", it seems to chant the thousand year old Sutra on the stone. There is a huge stone inscription on the top of the "high mountain and flowing water Pavilion", which records in detail the vividness of the "jingshiyu" water curtain and the process of its establishment. After the establishment of the "high mountain and flowing water Pavilion", some people looked at the scenery here and described it as: "there are thousands of waterfalls, flying calligraphy and painting, one stone pavilion on top, tolerant of several people, dangerous walls behind, snow waves in front, every wind and rain, all sounds are angry." Li Dai, governor of Shandong Province in the Ming Dynasty, wrote a poem about the pavilion: "the stone screen on the wall is facing the sun, the small pavilion is sitting in danger, the wind is clear in the afternoon, and the zither player knows when to go, there is still a pavilion with high mountains and flowing water."
Now, as like as two peas in the rain, the scene seen in the pavilion is exactly the same as those described in those years.

legend
In the spring and Autumn period, there was a man named Yu Boya, who was proficient in music and excellent at playing. He was a famous zither player at that time. When Yu Boya was young, he was intelligent and studious. He once worshipped an expert as a teacher and his piano skills reached a very high level. However, he always felt that he could not express his feelings for all kinds of things in a superb way. When Boya's teacher knew what he thought, he took him by boat to Penglai Island in the East China Sea to enjoy the natural scenery and listen to the waves of the sea. Boya looked up and saw the waves surging and the spray splashing; seabirds flying and singing to his ears; the mountains and trees were lush and luxuriant, just like entering a fairyland. A wonderful feeling arises spontaneously. It seems that the harmonious and beautiful music of nature is ringing in my ears. He can't help but play the piano, and the sound turns at will. He blends the beauty of nature into the sound of the piano, and Boya experiences an unprecedented realm. The teacher told him, "you have learned."
One day, he came to the gorge of Mount Tai by boat and encountered a storm. The boatman quickly shakes the boat to the bottom of a cliff to have a rest. After the rainstorm stopped, Boya saw that the Chuanjiang River between the mountains had a different charm. He could not help but become addicted to playing the piano, so he took this scene to play. Suddenly, one of the strings broke. When I looked up, I saw a woodcutter standing on the cliff not far away listening! Boya asked: how can I be here? The man replied: "I was stopped by the rainstorm. Suddenly listening to the sound of the piano, I feel addicted to it! Bo Ya happily asked: "since you listen to the piano, do you know what music I just played?" The woodcutter said: My Lord, what you play is your feeling when you see Chuanjiang in the mountains after the rain. The sound of the piano is just like that mountain! I also heard the sound of the river flowing in the mountains. Yu Boya was shocked! He pushed the harp, arched his hand and said, "it's really a barren mountain where beautiful jade is hidden. Today, I've visited my bosom friends all over the world. Now I have to meet my brother. My wish in this life has come true! And he bowed before the green hill. Bo Ya said again: once I've been close to you, I'll call the song I just played "high mountains and flowing water"! It is agreed that we will gather here when the spring is warm and the flowers are blooming in the coming year.
In the twinkling of an eye, Yu Boya came to Taishan again, but Zhong Ziqi didn't come to meet him. Only when I inquired did I know that Ziqi had died years ago! After hearing this, Bo Ya burst into tears. He came to Ziqi's grave, beat the tombstone and said, "I'm sorry that I met this bosom friend after visiting all over the place. I'm so young that I left before me. Yu Boya knelt down in front of the piano, tears in his eyes, sobbing on the piano. Looking up to the sky, he cried: Ziqi, listen to Boya play another song for you! After playing this song, Yu Boya said with tears streaming down his face: "since then, there will be no bosom friends." After that, he picked up the piano and threw it at the stone in front of Zhong Ziqi's tomb. The body of the piano was smashed. From then on, Yu Boya never played the piano again, but left a song "mountains and rivers" for later generations. " (transferred to "mountains and rivers" in netizen's "Bauhinia" blog)
