Century old Gulangyu Museum
The Centennial Gulangyu museum is located at 62 Fujian Road, Gulangyu, Xiamen City, Fujian Province. In 1902, the Chinese government was forced to sign the Charter of Xiamen Gulangyu public concession with Japan, the United States and Germany. Gulangyu was partitioned by the great powers and was officially defined as one of the two major public concessions. Thirteen countries (15 countries in a word) including Britain, the United States, Germany, Japan, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, Norway, Sweden and the Philippines successively set up consulates on the island and set up "consular corps" ”On the other hand, that special era also brought about the prosperity and many legends of Gulangyu, and now the fascinating culture of Gulangyu gradually formed at that time. However, Qu Ming, brilliant or not, has now been annihilated with people, most of us can only imagine the vicissitudes of that year through the description of words.
Introduction to scenic spots
The original name of the black cat restaurant on the island was black cat dance hall (it is used to be called black cat dance hall by Gulangyu people). It was a business entertainment place set up by Wu merchants in Tongan in 1920, and it was famous in Gulangyu at that time. It was originally located at No. 33-39 Zhonghua Road. Beside the dance hall, there was a bungalow with two rooms and one hall. It was the ticket office of the original dance hall (now demolished and rebuilt). At that time, it was mainly open to the upper class. The film "cloud water ballad" and "Piano code" were filmed here, and the TV series "how to save you and my love" and "stewardess diary" were also filmed here.
