Old house of Lao She
Lao She's former residence and Beibei Office of the all China Anti Japanese Association of literature and art is the residence of Mr. Lao She, a famous Chinese writer and artist, who settled in Beibei during the Anti Japanese war. Development history
The house was built in June 1940 and used to be the residence of the famous scholar Mr. Lin Yutang. The cultural celebrities who often came here were Liang Shiqiu, Yiqun, Guo Moruo, Tian Han, Ai Qing, Guang Weiran, Yao Fengzi, Xiao Hong, Zhao Qingge and so on.

On March 19, 1992, Chongqing Municipal People's Government approved Beibei Laoshe old house as the second batch of municipal key cultural relics protection units.

Laoshe memorial hall is a typical Beijing courtyard building pattern, covering an area of 400 square meters. The rich and colorful Exhibition "Lao She's life and creation" forms the distinctive features of Lao She Memorial. The gate of Laoshe Memorial Hall faces east from the West. On entering the gate, there is a gray brick screen wall and two South rooms. On entering the second gate, there is a colorful wooden screen wall which is rare in Beijing.
