Dome mountain

Dome mountain is located in the western suburb of Suzhou, in the northwest of Wuzhong District near Guangfu town. Its main peak, ruomao peak, is 341.7 meters above sea level. It is the highest mountain on the East Bank of Taihu Lake and the highest peak in Suzhou. Dongwu National Forest Park was established in 1993, and dome Mountain Scenic Management area was established in 2006. It is now an important part of Wuzhong Taihu Lake tourist area, a national 5A scenic spot.

Qionglongshan is located in the west of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, across three towns of Guangfu, Mudu and Xukou in Wuzhong District.

Place name allusion

Historical evolution

"Yuejueshu" of the Han Dynasty is called Qionglongshan, which says: "the one who was born in zhongqionglongshan was the ancient chisongzi who took Chishizhi." "Gusu Zhi": it is said that "dome mountain is higher than Yangshan mountain. "Wu Hu Fu" says: the dome is curved, covering the mountain, which is solid and deep, shaped like hairpin There are Panshi and gaoguangzhangxu under the Shandong ridge. It is said that Zhu Maichen studied on it. Later generations call it the reading platform. The dome temple is here. In the north there are Wisteria dock, baizhangquan and Haiyun nunnery. Gonglongshan is a national 5A scenic spot with Dongwu National Forest Park and maopengwu Nature Reserve in Jiangsu Province. There are Zhu Maichen reading platform, shangzhenguan Shangyuan site, sunwuyuan and other monuments and monuments.

In August 1981, gonglongshan maopengwu was listed as a nature reserve in Jiangsu Province; in 1993, Dongwu National Forest Park was established. In 2006, 10.5 square kilometers of Cangshu Town, south of provincial highway 230 and west of Ring Expressway, was set up as dome Mountain Scenic Management Area in Wuzhong District, which is now a national 4A scenic spot.

In January 2013, Suzhou Wuzhong Taihu Lake tourist area won the national AAAAA scenic spot. The former 4A scenic spot, dome mountain, has become an important scenic spot of 5A Taihu Lake tourist area.

Qionglongshan scenic area is rich in natural resources. It is easy to move up the steps, or the green pines and bamboos, or the gurgling springs. The environment is very quiet. Maopengwu, a 612 Mu Provincial Nature Reserve, is a natural plant museum. It has many valuable tree species such as niubishuan, Bambusa breviflora and Phoebe serrulata, as well as medicinal plants such as Qiongzhu, Sanqi, dangshen, Ganoderma lucidum and Polygonum multiflorum. There are 151 proven medicinal plants. Qionglongshan scenic spot is also the largest "natural forest oxygen bar" in Suzhou area. The forest is full of oxygen, and the content of negative ions in the air reaches 20000 per cubic meter, which is 400-500 times of that in general space.

Dome mountain scenic area has a long history, which integrates politics, military, religion and culture. Rich cultural landscape is another resource advantage. Sun Tzu, an ancient military strategist, lived in seclusion here and wrote 13 pieces of the first military book in Chinese history, the art of war. Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty visited the mountain six times, leaving countless little-known anecdotes; Zhu Maichen, a minister of the Western Han Dynasty, once cut firewood and read books here; Han Shizhong, a famous anti Jin general, and his subordinates gathered here to watch the moon.

Main attractions

The 12 km long winding mountain road leads directly to the top of the mountain and runs through various scenic spots. Famous scenic spots include sun Wuyuan, Zhu Maichen reading platform, Wanghu garden, Shangzhen temple, Ningbang temple, play platform and so on.

Subway and bus: 1. Get off at Mudu station of Metro Line 1 and exit at Exit 1. Walk to the bus stop of "Zhonghua Garden Hotel" on Jinshan South Road and take bus No.64 to the station of "dome mountain scenic spot". No. 64 is in front of Suzhou railway station and Suzhou north bus station. 2. Get off at Tongjing Park Station of Metro Line 2, exit at exit 4, walk to youxinxincun bus station on Jiefang East Road, and take bus No.43 to Qionglongshan scenic spot station. No. 43 is also on the west side of Wuzhong bus station. 3. Take bus 667 and get off at "dome mountain scenic spot".
