The former residence of General Liu Wenhui was originally a private residence built by Liu Wencai for his brother General Liu Wenhui. It is commonly known as the "new residence" and is now a national key cultural relic protection unit.

The mansion was built in 1938 and completed in 1942. It covers an area of more than 40 mu, covering a total area of 23822 square meters, with a construction area of 8626 square meters. It has 27 patios and 200 houses. It is a conjoined mansion composed of two gates, including three entrance courtyard, garden, tennis court, moon watching Pavilion, stage, treasury, etc. The new residence not only has the characteristics of the feudal mansion, but also takes some forms of the Western Castle architecture, forming its own unique architectural style. It is a typical modern architecture of Chinese and Western style in Western Sichuan, which visually shows people the high-quality architecture and decorative art of modern China. On the forehead is Tibetan, to the effect that it is "the palace where power is concentrated". There are three courtyards in the exhibition hall of Liu Wenhui's former residence, which collect Liu Wenhui's articles during his lifetime. It shows the course of Liu Wenhui's youth, youth, ruling Xikang, anti Japanese War and uprising in the form of courtyard distribution. It truly represents his patriotic life of judging the situation, conforming to the historical trend, from which we can feel the great inspiration and cohesion of the United Front Theory and policies of the Communist Party of China. Liu Wenhui (1895-1976), born in Anren Town, was a patriotic uprising general. He once served as commander of the 24th army of the National Revolutionary Army, chairman of Sichuan Province, chairman of Xikang Province, and second rank General of the army. After the uprising in December 1949, he successively served as vice chairman of the Southwest Military and political Commission and Minister of the Forestry Department of the Central People's government.
