Historical evolution
Duobao Pagoda in Liangxiang was first built in the Sui Dynasty, along with a Faxiang temple. The tower was renovated in the Tang Dynasty. Later the temple was destroyed, but the tower survived. The existing tower was rebuilt in 1068.
In front of the Duobao Pagoda in Liangxiang, there was a 3-meter-high tie Jie Yin Buddha, but it didn't exist. After the completion of the tower, there were many repairs in the past dynasties.
In 1901, Duobao Pagoda in Liangxiang was destroyed by the Allied forces of eight countries. All the original Buddha statues in the arches of the pagoda were destroyed.
During the "Cultural Revolution" period, the statues were seriously damaged and now there is no existence.
In 1984 and 1997, Beijing Municipal Bureau of cultural relics invested 16.2 million yuan to renovate Duobao Pagoda in Liangxiang and its surrounding environment, repainted the pagoda, added colored lights and ground lamps to the pagoda, built Haotian lake and Wangliang Pavilion, Yongquan Pavilion, Mingzhong Pavilion, Wangliang West Pavilion, built quiet maple forest and lovers forest, opened forest paths, and restored the steal bone cave , jiaozan tomb in Mengliang, Tiefo hall.
In 1997, the former Liangxiang District Office invested 30 million yuan to build Haotian park. The construction project includes rebuilding the climbing steps of Haotian tower, adding railings to the hole of the tower, repainting the wall of the tower, adding colored lights and floor lights to the body of the tower, adding railings to the main tower, greening and beautifying the surrounding area, building walls, parking lots, tourist toilets and other infrastructure.

The pagoda is surrounded by niches and statues, which have been damaged. Tasha is the highest point of the whole pagoda. It is the decoration on the top of the pagoda, namely phase wheel. It is composed of several huge brick lotus petals and the top jewels.
