Shenmu base

Shenmulei is located in Baoxing County, Sichuan Province, about 50 kilometers away from the county seat, with an altitude of about 3000 meters. Shenmulei original ecological scenic spot is located in the west of Qiaoqi (qiaoq ì) Tibetan Township, Baoxing County, and belongs to jiajinshan National Forest Park and a part of jiajinshan scenic spot, a provincial scenic spot. The scenic area is about 40 square kilometers, with an altitude of 0 2300 to 4300 meters, with forests, snow mountains, streams, alpine meadows, alpine calcified flow pool as the main landscape.

In January 2016, the National Tourism Administration and the Ministry of environmental protection planned to identify shenmulei ecotourism area in Ya'an City, Sichuan Province as a national ecotourism demonstration area.

geographical environment

As an important part of jiajinshan National Forest Park, shenmulei covers an area of 60 square kilometers. The scenic area has risen from 2300 meters above sea level to 4300 meters.

There are both towering ancient trees and plateau meadows in shenmulei. The original forest style is well preserved. The newly built tourist mountain road and wooden bridge make people easily walk through the natural oxygen bar with fresh air. The cattle, sheep, mules and horses of Tibetan herdsmen, and even pigs grazing in the hillside meadows, making people feel as if they are in a paradise. Some Tibetans lead their horses to sell their services to tourists and ride up the mountain.

At the top of the mountain, the dense fog leads to poor vision. Only a lot of trees are broken due to unknown reasons. On the green grass, there are a lot of desktop stumps, just like the mouth opening to the sky, like natural wood carving art.

There is also a newly built hope primary school next to the Qiaoqi Tibetan township government. The school building is very imposing, forming a very different style contrast with the nearby Tibetan style houses.

It's Mid Autumn Festival, but the trees are still verdant and lush, and the distant mountains are cold and green. The flowing white clouds add vitality and aura to the mountains. The integration of white clouds, distant mountains and blue sky gives people the feeling of high and spacious. Occasionally, there are red leaves dotted in the green. New township cadres tell us that in November, red leaves are everywhere, and the forest is dyed, and the scenery is quite comfortable.

The scenic spot has just been developed, and there are no artificial "modern facilities". Instead, it is more natural and natural. Rows of prayer flags flying in the wind express the eternal wishes of the Tibetan people.

Main attractions

The main scenic spots of shenmulei scenic spot include Sequoia flat, shenmulei, root carving garden, pagla holy mountain, kazifeng, jianjianshan, wucaichi, songsheyuan and bijiaopo Rhododendron forest. Shenmulei scenic area is mainly composed of forest, snow mountain, stream, alpine meadow and alpine calcified flow pool. The green meadows are scattered among the forests. Around the forests and meadows, the mountains rise and fall, or the peaks are steep and straight, or the twists and turns are winding. Located in Baoxing County, Ya'an. The provincial road from Ya'an to Baoxing is 110 km. It's 70 kilometers from Baoxing to shenmulei.

It includes Sequoia flat, Shenmu base, root carving garden, pagla holy mountain, asiram holy mountain, renzan Lama holy mountain, wucaichi, songshe garden and bijiaopo Rhododendron forest. Shenmulei, in Tibetan, is where the gods play.

Jiajin Mountain

Jiajin mountain is located in the south of Xiaojin County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It is adjacent to the famous Siguniang mountain scenic spot. It is 250 km away from Chengdu and covers a total area of 20700 hectares. There are mainly two primitive ecological areas, Jiajin mountain and muerzhaigou. There are abundant forest resources and intact vegetation. Growing golden monkey, takin and other national first and second class wild animals. This is also the place where the first front army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army successfully joined the Red Army in the long march. Jiajinshan has been recorded in the glorious history of Chinese revolutionary history ever since.

Jiajin mountain is also known as "Jiajin mountain". It is called "Jiaji" in Tibetan. Jiajin is a transliteration, meaning very high and steep. Located in the southeast of Xiaojin County, it belongs to Qionglai mountain range and lies between Dawei township of Xiaojin county and Baoxing County of Ya'an area, with an altitude of 4124 meters. The terrain here is steep and dangerous, the mountains are continuous, the mountains are high, the dangerous rocks are towering, the cliffs are cutting, the air is thin, and the weather is changeable. There is a local folk song: "Jiajin mountain, Jiajin mountain, birds can't fly, people can't climb. Jiajin mountain is the first snow mountain that the Red Army of Chinese workers and peasants climbed on foot during the long march. On the afternoon of June 12, 1935, the 4th regiment of the 2nd division of the 1st red front army, led by Wang Kaixiang and Yang Chengwu, overcame all kinds of difficulties and dangers, and finally crossed Jiajin mountain successfully from Qiaoqi township at the southern foot of Jiajin mountain, and met with a part of the 74th regiment of the 25th red division at the muchenggou gully of Dawei township at the foot of the mountain. The unexpected meeting laid a foundation for the successful reunion of the first and fourth front forces of the Red Army.

Now, the county has made full use of the primitive and simple ecological resources of Jiajin mountain, combined with the tourism development with Siguniang scenic area as the core, and declared to establish a national forest park with an area of 20700 hectares. The strong integration of natural ecology and historical and cultural resources will greatly promote the rapid and healthy development of the county economy.

Red culture Memorial

The Red Army's long march over shenmulei in Jiajin mountain is the first big snow mountain in the long march. Baoxing is the county where the Red Army has stayed for the longest time. The Fourth Front Army of the red army moved to Baoxing and stayed for 125 days. The Red Army has crossed jiajinshan three times (part of the first front army of the Red Army, and the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army has crossed jiajinshan twice). About the situation of the Red Army soldiers crossing the snow mountain: the general soldiers are young, have good physical strength, are full of curiosity about the snow mountain, and are energetic when they start to leave. The propaganda team is also full of encouragement. Shouts, songs, voices and horse calls form a symphony of going up the snow mountain. But the more you go up, the narrower and steeper the road is, the thinner the air is, the deeper the snow is, and the colder you feel. As a result, the pace of progress slows down and the atmosphere of joy gradually disappears. Propaganda teams and political workers came out to encourage and improve the spirit of everyone. Yang Chengwu recalled the situation of the avant-garde group on the snow mountain: the path up the mountain was almost upright, winding, and even it was very difficult for mules and horses to walk. But then there was a gale again, and the snow rolled, and the ice and snow flakes hit his face like a knife. The soldiers covered their faces and staggered forward in the wind and snow. Although they put everything on their bodies, they still felt very cold. Climb up again, the air is thinner, breathing is more difficult, some dizzy, step by step stop, step by step gasp. We all helped each other up to the top of the mountain with all our strength. At this time, it suddenly began to hail, and soon the sun came out, very dazzling. Looking up, we can see that there are thousands of miles of ice and snow, and silver peaks around; looking down at the foot of the mountain, the Red Army team is like a long gray dragon winding up. Yang Chengwu wrote a poem: "the birds in the sky are flying away, and the beasts in the mountains are disappearing; the hero of the Red Army is flying to break the ice and snow.". Deng Fei, political commissar of the sixth regiment of the Red Army, who followed the fourth regiment of the Red Army to climb the snow mountain, recalled: according to the guide's advice, we told the soldiers how to climb the mountain. Start climbing slowly, take a rest about 100 meters away from the top of the mountain, and run when you get to the top of the mountain. In this way, everyone helped and encouraged each other. All of them passed the snow mountain, and none of them left behind.

Hometown of giant panda

Baoxing County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, located at the foot of Jiajin mountain, is the place where the first giant panda has been recorded and discovered in the world. It is also the core area of the giant panda habitat application for world heritage. On May 4, 1869, David, a French biologist, first discovered giant panda in dengchigou, Fengtongzhai, Baoxing County, and described it as "the embodiment of human ideal". Since then, giant panda fever has swept the world. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, China presented 23 giant pandas as gifts to the United States, the former Soviet Union, Japan, Britain, France, North Korea and other countries, of which 17 were from Baoxing.

Tibetan culture

Qiaoqi Tibetan Autonomous township (Qiaoqi Tibetan township for short) is an ethnic autonomous Township in Baoxing County, Ya'an City. It is located in the East River Basin of the upper reaches of Qingyi River, adjacent to Xiaojin county and Jiarong Tibetan community in the north, Kangding Tibetan community in the west, Wenchuan Tibetan community in the Northeast, and Baoxing County in the East. It can be seen that Qiaoqi is not only located at the edge of the Tibetan area, but also at the junction and transition area of Tibet, Han, Tibet and Qiang. According to statistics at the end of 2004, there are 1351 households and 5192 people in the township, of which 4423 are Tibetans, accounting for 85.18% of the total.

From Chengdu to Baoxing, you can get to the gate of the scenic spot by following the mountain road. The road from Baoxing to shenmulei is a provincial road. The road condition is good, and the roadside scenery is also very beautiful.

Passenger car

Tickets for Baoxing can be bought at Ya'an bus station and Ximen station. After arriving at Baoxing, there are buses directly to shenmulei, but there are not many flights.
