Bama Crystal Palace
The Crystal Palace is located in Nashe Township, Bama Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The caves are developed in the karst landform area of peak cluster depression valley. The terrain is undulating. The entrance is located on the hillside of karst peak cluster, and the erosion surface is about 150m high.
In June 2004, the Crystal Palace, which lives in seclusion in the mountains, was accidentally discovered by several villagers. The local government quickly organized forces to protect the cave.
The later "Crystal Palace" scenic spot was scientifically inspected, demonstrated, planned and designed by experts from Institute of karst, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences. On September 20, 2007, Bama Crystal Palace was officially opened to the public.
Crystal Palace is now a national AAAA scenic spot. Now it is applying for Minghe Crystal Palace national AAAA scenic spot.
National Geographic of China, a magazine under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, highly praised the Crystal Palace, saying that "after inspecting more than 100 tourist caves in China, I think it should be the most beautiful one among the developed tourist caves in China", and ranked it as one of the seven most beautiful tourist caves in China's karst landscape Inventory (Bama Crystal Palace in Guangxi and Zhijin cave in Guizhou) , Furong cave in Wulong, Chongqing, Xueyu cave in Fengdu, Chongqing, Huanglong cave in Zhangjiajie, Hunan, Tenglong cave in Enshi, Hubei, Shihua Cave in Beijing)
Discovery process
According to local villagers' recollection, one day in June 2004, a villager was sleeping outside the cave due to fatigue. When he woke up, he found a cool wind blowing from the cave in the small stone cave beside him. He speculated that there might be a hole in the cave. After digging a small hole, the villager and his accomplices found that there was a large cave. All the stalactites in the cave were crystal shaped, with various shapes and dazzling colors, which made people forget to return.
After receiving the news, Wei Mingge, then Secretary of the township party committee, organized Township and village cadres to guard the cave entrance 24 hours a day to prevent the stalactite from being stolen. At the same time, he invited a photographer to make a special film of "Crystal Palace" to increase publicity. Through efforts, the news of Crystal Palace has been reported in newspapers, TV and other media at central, District, city and county levels. It is worth mentioning that the news has been broadcast twice on Channel 4 and channel 12 of CCTV, which has a great impact.
Later, the "Crystal Palace" scenic spot was investigated, demonstrated, planned and designed by experts from the Institute of karst, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences. On July 19, 2006, the "Crystal Palace" scenic spot was invested and built by Guangxi Bama Changshou Geopark Development Co., Ltd. On September 20, 2007, Bama Crystal Palace was officially opened to the public.
Overview of scenic spots
Crystal Palace is located in Daluo village, Nashe Township, 44km northwest of Bama County. Crystal Palace is developed in karst landform area of peak cluster depression Valley, with undulating terrain. The entrance is located on the hillside of karst peak cluster, with a height of about 150m.
The Crystal Palace is a medium-sized cavern in the shape of corridor. The caverns are basically developed along the rock layers. Except for several halls, the overall height of the cavern is not high and low. According to a preliminary investigation, the Crystal Palace is more than 1000 meters long, 8 to 50 meters wide and 10 to 80 meters high.
Crystal Palace has the largest goose tube group in China, which is a rare and rare landscape in caves in China. The stalactites in Crystal Palace include goose tube, stalactite, stalagmite, stone pillar, stone belt, stone flag, various kinds of stone mantle, stone waterfall, stone shield, etc. the stalactites in non gravity crystal deposition include dozens of kinds of stone hair, curled stone, stone flower, etc. they are colorful, white and pure, Linglong and clear. They are a collection of art treasures in the world, and are growing. They are of great ornamental value and scientific value Learning to explore value.
Due to the late discovery of the Crystal Palace, the cave protection consciousness of the developers is very strong, and the Crystal Palace is also the tourism cave with the most stringent environmental protection measures in China. Most of the natural scenic spots in the cave remain the same and are still growing.
Causes
The mountain scenery of karst landform can be divided into peak cluster depression, peak forest plain, isolated peak and stone forest, Tiankeng, skylight and other forms. The large karst caves in fengcong depression have been formed from small to large for more than one million years due to the erosion, dissolution and collapse of underground rivers.
When the rain water passes through the atmosphere, it will generate trace carbonic acid due to the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The acid can dissolve the limestone mountain and make the rain water become water containing calcium bicarbonate. After penetrating through the cracks on the cave top and wall, the carbon dioxide in the water will escape and lead to the reduction reaction, and the calcium bicarbonate crystal in the water will form various secondary chemical deposits, namely, bell milk Stone.
Most of the stalactites are influenced by gravity during the crystallization process to form gravity water deposits. Such as: stalagmite, stalagmite, stone pillar, stone flag, goose tube and other dripping deposits; stone mantle, stone curtain, stone waterfall, cave shield, liushiba, stone terrace and other running water deposits; stone coral, stone mushroom, stone grape, palm slice and other splash water deposits; crystal brush, cave bead and other pool water deposits.
A few rare stalactites crystallize from capillary water, film water and fog water to form non gravity water sediment. For example, when the surface tension of the water seeping from the capillary tube at the top of the tunnel is greater than the gravity, the stone hairs, curly stones and crystal flowers generated by its crystallization do not necessarily grow downward, but can grow upward, sideways, in any direction, or even twist. The non gravity water sediment crystal frost on the top of the cave makes the top of Bama Crystal Palace white all over the sky.
Of course, there are few absolute things in the world, so most of the Milky stone landscapes in caves are superimposed sediments and collaborative sediments. For example, in Bama Crystal Palace, the goose tubes caused by gravity water are superimposed under the cave shield; for example, the curly stones and stone hairs caused by non gravity water are often superimposed on the stalactites caused by gravity water; as for why the upper shield plate of the cave shield of Crystal Palace exposed after the fall of the lower shield is white, it is because there is snow-white crystal frost superimposed on it. The rare rare karst lotus basin in luomei cave and Lianhua rock in Yangshuo is a typical collaborative sediment, which is formed by the joint action of pool water, dripping water and running water.
97% of the karst caves in the world are of the same milky stones despite the ever-changing landscape. They all have only gravity water deposits, such as Ludi rock, Qixing rock, Guanyan, yinziyan, Fengyu rock in Guilin, dule rock in Liuzhou, Yiling rock in Nanning, Goukou cave in Yulin, Baimo cave in Bama, Longgong cave in Anshun, Longgong cave in Jiujiang, Shuidong cave in Benxi, Yaolin fairy mirror in Tonglu wait.
Only 3% of karst caves in the world can see non gravity water deposits, such as Shihua Cave in Beijing, Furong cave in Wulong, Panlong cave in Yunfu and Crystal Palace in Bama. Guilin's chuanshanyan, Anshun zhijindong also have a little. Because it is too precious, Zhijin cave sealed up the only small section of branch cave with stone hair and curly stone, and chuanshanyan named the only curly stone flower and the stone hair growing on a stalactite as the second of chuanshanyan's four treasures. The Crystal Palace in Bama has hundreds of millions of curly stone flowers caused by non gravity water and boundless crystal frost and stone hairs. Its wide range, large quantity and white color are the best in the world.
It is an ideal "natural oxygen bar". The scenic spot can receive 300000 tourists per year. Experts have proved that the stalactite in this cave has a history of about 300000 years and is still in the period of growth and development. Among them, the shape, density, scale and development degree of curly stone and goose tube stone are rare geological wonders at home and abroad.
Features of scenic spots
Most of the stalactites are influenced by gravity during the crystallization process to form gravity water deposits. However, a few rare stalactites crystallize from capillary water, film water and fog water to form non gravity water sediments. For example, when the surface tension of the water seeping from the capillary tube at the top of the tunnel is greater than the gravity, the stone hairs, curly stones and crystal flowers generated by its crystallization do not necessarily grow downward, but can grow upward, sideways, in any direction, or even twist. The non gravity water sediment crystal frost on the top of Crystal Palace in Bama makes the Crystal Palace white all over the sky.
Although 97% of the karst caves in the world have ever-changing landscapes, the Milky stones are all the same, with only gravity water deposits, such as reed flute rock and seven star rock in Guilin, Yiling rock in Nanning, Goukou cave in Yulin, Baimo cave in Bama, and Dragon Palace in Anshun wait.
But Bama Crystal Palace has hundreds of millions of curly stone flowers of non gravity water origin and boundless crystal frost and stone hair, which is located in a large group of cave sediments at the top of the cave. This kind of curved stalactites is very rare in karst caves, because stalactites are formed by the deposition of gravity water in the cave, and the stalactites with vertical downward gravity are also vertical downward. Where there is light in the cave, the stalactites may bend under the influence of organisms, but the "curved stalactites" in the Crystal Palace are deep in the cave, and there is no visible light. It is a miracle that they form a curved shape and keep it for a long time! It has a wide range, a large number and a white color,
