Wenzhou Jingshan Park is located in the west of Wenzhou City, about 2.5 kilometers away from the city center, surrounded by the city on three sides, covering an area of 3.7 square kilometers. The road traffic network in the scenic area has been fully connected, and the traffic is very convenient. Jingshan has a superior geographical location, rich natural landscape resources and profound cultural heritage. The highest peak, Yingpan mountain, is 170 meters above sea level. It is a City mountain forest park with rich local folk sentiment and subtropical characteristics of ecological recreation. The park is full of pines and cypresses, and the shape of the mountain is beautiful. The original Huguo Temple of Xiangyun peak was founded in the jianhuang period of the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1130). In order to develop Jingshan Park, Wenzhou Jingshan Forest Park Management Office was established by the municipal government in 2000. The management office is a public institution funded by the difference and is subordinate to Wenzhou municipal garden Bureau. It is responsible for the construction, management and development of Jingshan Park and the management of Wenzhou zoo. In 2008, with the approval of Wenzhou Municipal Bureau of personnel, we added the Wenzhou zoo brand, and the management office has two brands and a set of people. It has become an important popular science education base for young people to understand plant species and popularize natural science knowledge. In addition, the leisure and entertainment area of Jingshan Park "QinChun garden" covers an area of 200 mu, with square, artificial lake, artificial waterfall, Siyuan Pavilion, etc. another leisure and entertainment area "leisure garden" has leisure tea room, tennis court, badminton court, swimming pool and other facilities, providing citizens with a good leisure and entertainment place with rich projects and beautiful environment.

In 2009, Jingshan Park also named the pavilions, corridors, squares and other facilities in the scenic area, which improved the functions of the park and made it convenient for people to visit the mountain. The calligraphy of many calligraphers also added cultural flavor to Jingshan and enhanced its cultural connotation.

Current situation of Wenzhou Zoo

Wenzhou zoo in Jingshan Park, located in the lotus core of Jingshan, covers an area of 340 mu, with a construction area of 5000 square meters and a total investment of 37 million yuan. It is divided into two parts: Animal exhibition area and supporting facilities. It was built and opened to the public on October 1, 2000. It is a modern national second-class zoo integrating sightseeing, viewing, animal protection, science popularization and scientific research. In the animal exhibition area, there are 30 pavilions, including monkey mountain, lion mountain, Bear Mountain, tiger and leopard Museum, red panda museum, amphibious and crawling Museum, Peacock Garden, elephant Museum, giraffe garden, etc. at present, there are 155 kinds of wild animals, such as giant panda, Asian elephant, northeast tiger, and nearly 1874 animals. Supporting facilities include main driveway, walking path, parking lot, tourist service center, science exhibition hall, animal domestication performance field, management room, wildlife rescue center and corresponding plant landscape. Wenzhou zoo is responsible for wildlife rescue, public ecological environment science education, scientific research, animal disease prevention and other important functions.

In order to enhance the attraction of the zoo, we hold an animal art festival every year. During the festival, we introduce all kinds of rare animals to show the public various kinds of animal culture themes in various forms. We also increase the interest and interaction by holding a series of activities such as photography competition, painting competition and essay competition, which has achieved good social and economic benefits.

In addition, in order to improve the ornamental effect of animals, our department renovates the cage house every year. In 2009, we renovated the precious monkey house, giraffe, lion mountain, Penguin hall and other cage houses, greatly improving the overall landscape effect of the cage house. In 2010, we also successfully introduced the national giant panda and other animals, which greatly improved the attraction of the zoo.

Wenzhou zoo has an average passenger flow of more than 600000 people and an average annual ticket revenue of 14 million yuan. It is the largest zoo in southern Zhejiang and Northern Fujian. It is also a national 3A tourist attraction, Zhejiang outstanding youth civilization, Zhejiang ecological moral education base, Zhejiang ecological environment education demonstration base, Wenzhou civilized unit and Wenzhou first-class five-star park.
