Huashan Temple
Huashan temple is located in Nantang Town, Lufeng City, Guangdong Province. It is connected with Jiazi daodu mountain in the East, Wufeng mountain in the west, Jieshi Xuanwu mountain in the South and Jiujiu Lianfeng mountain in the north.
The ancient temple is in the middle, surrounded by two peaks, just like a butterfly spreading its wings. It was called Shuanghua mountain in ancient times. The main building is more than 10 mu, and the temple covers an area of more than 30 mu. There is a stage square in front of the temple. On the left, there are pavilions and pavilions, and on the right, there are thousand year old banyan trees with the same Qi and roots, immortal footprints, Yixin Pavilion, pines and bamboos, and the fragrance of birds and flowers. It is a tourist attraction with "no summer heat during the three groups, and the sound of scriptures after a hundred years".
Huashan temple was first built three years ago in Jiajing of Ming Dynasty. It was rebuilt in Wuzi of Daoguang of Qing Dynasty, and the East and west two chambers and back hall were expanded. In the original temple, there are 41 statues of deities and Buddhas of Ming Dynasty, including "goddess of heaven", 15 wooden plaques and 35 stone inscriptions, steles and bans. In 1985, the people's Government of Nantang town approved the reconstruction of Huashan temple. In 1997, the people's Government of Lufeng City approved Huashan temple as a municipal cultural relics protection unit.
