Guangfu pagoda
Guangfu pagoda is located in Guishan behind tongguanyin temple in Guangfu Town, southwest of Suzhou. Guangfu pagoda was first built in the early years of Liang Datong (535-546 A.D.), and Guangfu temple and Guangfu pagoda were built by Guye Wang Sheshan, the prefect of Jiuzhen. The ancient town was also renamed "Guangfu" because of its flourishing incense.

The founder realized the monk's relic. Guangfu pagoda is square, with seven levels on four sides and a height of 25 meters. It is a mixed structure of brick and wood. It has doors on the northwest side of the ground floor and on four sides above the second floor.
In the last years of Huichang in Tang Dynasty, the pagoda was destroyed by fire. By Yizong, the abbot of tongguanyin temple had been involved in the reconstruction. The tower is square, 7 stories, more than 20 meters high, brick and wood structure, the appearance of simple. Due to the proper location and the surrounding scenery, it has the artistic conception of "not in the painting but in the painting". If you climb to the top of the tower, you can look at the Tianping and Lingyan mountains as if they are close at hand.

Guangfu pagoda was originally called Sari Buddha pagoda, in which the Huayan Sutra and the spiritual bones of monk Che, the founder of Guangfu temple, were collected. In the last years of Huichang in Tang Dynasty, the pagoda was destroyed by fire. In Xiantong period of Tang Dynasty (860-874 AD), it was rebuilt by imperial edict. Then it was destroyed and built. In June of the first year of song Kangding (1040 A.D.), Zhang Hui, a villager, got the bronze Guanyin from the mud beside the temple, so the temple is also known as the bronze Guanyin temple. Tower for brick body, wooden eaves pavilion type, made of seven layers, square plane, double eaves Fu Yu, standing on the three-layer stone covered pedestal. After the original restoration, the height of the tower is 22.15 meters, the height of the Tasha is 8.35 meters, and the total height is 30.5 meters. There is an ambulatory on the bottom floor. The length of each side of the tower is 5.18 meters. The south gate is opened, and the square gate is changed from the second floor. Each floor has floors and wooden escalators. Each floor of the tower has a flat seat with waist eaves, and each side has columns and braces. The magnificent wood has flying wings and corners, which makes it simple and beautiful.
Guangfu pagoda is light and beautiful. Gu Zairong, a descendant of King Guye of Tang Dynasty, described it in his poem titled above Guangfu: "Cangdao is isolated in white waves, and the tower leaning on the sky is empty. Smoke congeals far, Xiu lie cold green, frost dye sparse forest fall broken red. Xizhu was perched pengzeyan, tower deep storage Dongting wind. Where does the golden chime fall in the six Ming Dynasty? It's near the reeds to catch the fisherman. "
