Hejin Temple
Hejin temple, also known as the Buddhist temple, was founded in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty about 400 years ago. It is located on a huge stone in the middle of the river, across the river from the village of Shenmu yellow stone. The temple faces south from the north. There are 18 temples and more than 18 Hakkas in the back of the temple.
The stone of Hejin temple, facing water on three sides, is in the shape of a peninsula. Although the stone wall near the water is not very high, it is too steep to climb. There is a huge iron ring embedded in the north end wall, which is a legacy of folk tradition and god man. It is said that when Dayu was harnessing the water, he cut a gully in the north mountain of Shenmu city and led the water of turbid lunchuan into Kuye River. This gully is shigouzi. Unexpectedly, the stones were washed three times and two times to the top of the sand mound at the mouth of the Kuye River, blocking the river and causing frequent floods. When shigouzi opened, the fengshui of Shenmu was destroyed. Since then, there has been constant famine, and the land is barren and the people are poor. Dayu was very regretful when he learned that, so he ordered his Hercules to pull the Hekou stone to the north of Shenmu city overnight to block shigouzi. Hercules arranged the iron ring on the boulder and took the night to pull the stone northward. Before dawn, I finally got to Yellowstone. At this time, people in the village had already got up early to make a living. Hercules asked a village woman, "how far is it from Shenmu city? Can I get there before dawn?" The village woman said, "I can't get there. There are more than forty miles left." A question and answer tone did not pick up, Hercules suddenly no energy, put the boulder in the river, be careful. Since then, the Kuye River mouth has been unblocked and the flood has been reduced. Thousands of years later, the geomantic omen of Shenmu has been reincarnated and gradually become rich. It's a wonderful place to build a temple of gods with magic stone!
The original site of Hejin temple is on the Hexi cliff of guojiata village in the upper reaches, commonly known as Yanya temple. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, Zhang cunwu, a wealthy man in Shiyao village, moved his life savings to the present site. Zhang cunwu is incorruptible. He doesn't get any benefit from the temple during the construction. He even brings his own drinking water. Shortly after the temple was built, Zhang died. As a token of commemoration, people set up the main card of merit and virtue in the temple to let him share incense with the gods.
